Kamchan Yano Concept In order to both preserve the history and techniques of local wood carvings, and enable future generations to study from these. These carvings made from small pieces of old teak and carved with various animals and village life portray daily life in the countryside. Artisan Kamchan gained his knowlege and history of these carvings from his ancestor Saeng Luesuwan.

My work is inspired by temple murals from the Ayutthaya to the Rattanakosin eras, using line work and guilding. Previousely, I worked in monotone, representing the need for simplicity and faith. I use gold guilding to illuminate the Buddhist story and my art.

Promma Inyasri Concept M y inspiration is Lanna Buddhist architecture. This type of architecture expresses the concept of wisdom by incorporating ornamentation with precious objects. I am carrying on the tradition of expressing Buddhist faith through my art. I focus on Tri Phum Buddhist stories depicted on ancient sites which use surreal images to create an illusion of splendour, but in a freer style drawn from my imagination.
