Setting foot in the Javits Center during Comic Con is like stepping into partly an inside joke and partly a wild dream. Not only are you and your dad bonding over enthusiasm for a favorite character, but people all around are encouraging that bond. Meanwhile, other kids are seeing hot pink and samurai swords in real life for maybe the fi rst time. Unlocking creativity and connections is the important take away for all ages.
