MEET UP

In 2017, Saber Guild members and ReedPop employees had encouraged families to complain about a lack of time and space for kids' events inside the Javits Center. Because costume contests and other gatherings had already been happening off site for years, it was not that surprising the 2018 set up required a map to navigate. Kal and I started Saturday at the Hammerstein Ballroom and then the Star Wars fan club experience on 37th Street. —MV

We had just left the off site location for Star Wars without taking any pictures with characters, so I thought it was funny that the fi rst thing Kal did after entering the Javits Center was to take pictures with Mandalorian Mercs members.
