HAVEN AMY SINIBALDI

Hi! My name is Amy. I live in Virginia with my four children and sweet husband. I think there is a lot of beauty in our “everyday” and I’ll be sharing that with you as I design, create and sew.

Always writing and drawing since I could hold a pencil, I didn’t begin sewing until Father’s Day 2006. That day we were at Target and I convinced my husband to buy me a sewing machine. We bought the second cheapest machine available that day ~ a Shark (it was sooo loud!) that I used until Christmas 2011, when I switched to a Singer.

Completely self-taught in everything, I am a “see it - do it” kind of girl. I love trying new techniques and I still feel that I’m finding my style.

I’m the designer behind the crafting + sewing blog nanaCompany, and author of the book “Sweetly Stitched Handmades”.

My work can be seen in numerous sewing books and magazines, such as Better Homes and Gardens Make it Yourself, Homespun, Little Thing Magazine, and Love Patchwork & Quilting. I’m also a regular contributor at eHow.com. My embroidery designs and simple sewing patterns can be found at nanaCompany on Etsy.
