2021 SIGNATURE LIVE SALE The Santa Fe Art Auction is delighted to be welcoming old friends and new, bidders, consignors, and art collectors all, back into our showrooms for the 29th Signature Live Auction this November, 2021. As we come to the end of another year of many challenges, we encourage you to plan your visit to Santa Fe, where Fall is in full splendor, the dining is fine, the outdoors beckons, and the Land of Enchantment remains more so than ever. This has been a record-breaking year for the auction house, having brought more than 4,000 lots to market to date. Ranging from historic to contemporary, our broadly diverse sale categories have included Native American, Tribal, Pueblo and New Mexico Arts; fine American Art, particularly Western, as well as Latin American and European, alongside Prints, Multiples, Works on Paper, Photography, Crafts and Modern Design. We have brought major single owner collections to market as well those dedicated entirely to non-profit entities. The pinnacle of our calendar for nearly 30 years has been the November Signature sale. This year it brings together the very best of all these collecting categories in a live event that spans previews, panel discussions, educational talks with experts, and plenty of entertainment to enhance your bidding experience! We are especially pleased to offer again a very select number of items from the worldclass Christopher Cardozo Collection of Edward Curtis: orotones, platinum prints, silver gelatin prints and cyanotypes, important ephemera, individual volumes with their Portfolios, and Mr. Cardozo’s personal ‘jewel in the crown’ – the Edward Harriman Complete Set of Volumes of The North American Indian. Among many highlights this year is a substantial group of women artists, both Native American and Western American, including the Estate of Beatrice Mandelman, a rare group of artworks by John Nieto representing a very special friendship between the artist and distinguished collectors Jody and Duane Shrontz, as well as important selections from the personal collection of Georgia and Charles Loloma. Our full catalogue of more than 400 lots is available for previewing online at santafeartauction.com, as is Registration for Attendance at the sale, Absentee and Telephone Bidding, and requests for hard copies of our Signature 2021 Catalogue Please join us!
