SASKATOON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA 2014 – 2015 Season / SaskatoonSymphony.org
WELCOME
2014 – 2015 Season
Finding our prairie voice. We are excited to bring music lovers what is going be a memorable season. We took a look around at the prairie landscape and knew that we needed a season that reflects our audience and our home. Our upcoming season runs the spectrum of music from Mozart and Beethoven to Led Zeppelin and hockey – and we’re pretty proud of it.
Maestro Victor Sawa Music Director
This season, each and every guest artist is Canadian—and thirteen of them are Saskatchewan born! Join us to celebrate the truly incredible artistry of Saskatchewan musicians, whether renowned locally, throughout Canada, or across the globe.
It is a pleasure to welcome back pianists Angela Cheng and Thomas Yu, and a thrill to host guitarist Daniel Bolshoy and violinist Marc Bouchkov for the first time. While Nathan Berg might not be a household name, he is an internationally-renowned opera singer who grew up right here in Saskatchewan. That’s what our 2014-2015 season is about. Lots of debuts. Lots of homecomings. Lots of great music. Memories to be made with friends and family. Musical discoveries and experiences to be excited about. We’re finding our prairie voice. Join us as we celebrate Saskatchewan’s music scene!
