COVID & MONEY MATTERS!

Rel FOOD & RETAILease

The Covid pandemic has highlighted that we ‘do not know what is around the corner’, life circumstances can so quickly overtake us, e.g. redundancy, ill-health, relationship breakdown, bereavement, all of these can negatively affect our finances.

At the time of writing (early May 2021) we are seeing restrictions eased and possibly on 21 June 2021 further easing, and as we, hopefully, move towards ‘normal’, various pressures may begin to come to the surface. If you are worried about your finances or struggling to make ends meet, you are not alone.

The disruption caused by the pandemic has negatively affected many people’s incomes, leaving us with less money coming in, but with bills and debts to pay.

DON’T BURY YOUR HEAD ......... TALK

MONEY! There is free help available (and you do not get what you pay for, when it comes to help and advice).

From Tuesday 04 May 2021, the new Breathing Space and Mental Health Crisis Debt Respite Schemes came into force, and for some people could be a really useful way to help get on top of their finances. Or, if you prefer a less personal approach, there are a number of options online including:
