Bakewell Town Football Club
Over the last 6 weeks Bakewell Town FC have been giving many of the gifted & talented players an experience to remember.
The young footballers took part in creating a coaching video for a Chinese University and did a fine job.
Dave Cottrell, Elliott Needham and Freya Walker from Bakewell Town FC, all assisted and observed the players having the football experience of a lifetime.
Sean Kimberley the Academy Director at Aston Villa coached our under 13’s, 10’s and under 18 players and said that the young Bakewell players were “exceptional”. They also had a top sports scientist from Loughborough University putting them through a performance /sports science session learning how important match day preparation was including warmups and warms downs. Vince Bartram from Southampton Academy did a specialist goalkeeping session. Vince was a keeper at Arsenal, Huddersfield & Gillingham.
Mike Williams, a Director at Sportspoint International said “the club can be proud of all the Bakewell players that participated in the filming they were a credit to the club and their parents. The cooperation we received from everyone was brilliant & made for a successful series of coaching sessions which hopefully the players enjoyed, the Astro pitch facility of Lady Manners School was also first class”.
Whilst this was an amazing experience for our gifted and talented children in the Club we stress that Bakewell Town FC is an inclusive and diverse club where there are no barriers to people who want to have fun whilst engaged in activities that promote physical and mental wellbeing.
