Rossella Sferlazzo lives and work in Lampedusa island, Italy She studied in Rome and in Milan She begins her creative courses at Kensington and Chelsea College in London

In her practice she specializes in soulful portraits, working predominantly with acrylic paint and canvas She takes influences from Klimt, Chagall and Frida Kahlo

In 2016 after a skin disease, she used art,her dream and passion, like therapy, she began “Women of light” series

She shows the power of femininity through paintings of women in a simple, sensual and compelling way She has an ability to capture the depth of the soul

Her first group exhibition was in 1996 in Lampedusa Since then, she has exhibited both nationally and internationally
