Curated by visual artist Lucy Orta, Block Party looks beyond the garment and explores the creative possibilities of pattern cutting. The exhibition showcases work by artists including Shelley Fox, Charlotte Hodes, Dai Rees, Yinka Shonibare MBE and Raw Edges. A Crafts Council Touring Exhibition

NAOKO MIYAZAKI • THU 9 MAY – SUN 14 JUL The late artist, Naoko Miyazaki, won the Jerwood Drawing Prize in 2010 for a delicate folded origami piece entitled Geometrical Lyricism. The prize winning artwork is displayed alongside a selection of Miyazaki’s other works in this unique exposition at artsdepot. The exhibition features works created mainly from paper, including a beautiful hanging staircase suspended by nylon thread.

ARTSDEPOT OPEN • FRI 26 JUL – SUN 8 SEP A diverse and vibrant annual exhibition celebrating the work of artists from Barnet and beyond. Submissions are encouraged from both emerging and established artists. Successful artworks, as selected by a panel of experts, will be displayed in our professional gallery space over the summer.
