Paston College, in the heart of North Walsham, has a long-standing history of high achievement by our students who come from across North Norfolk. At Paston College you will find an inspirational learning environment set within our stunning campus, enthusiastic and expert teachers, and all the support you need to achieve your ambitions.

Whilst we are best known to many for the consistently high quality of our A Level provision, Paston College is home to a wide course offering for both 16 to 18-year-olds and adult learners.

A Levels

We have an outstanding reputation for the quality of our A Level teaching. Our results are consistently high and, each year, hundreds of students choose to study A Levels with us. We offer 27 different A Levels, spanning a wide range of subject choices. The majority of our sixth form leavers progress to university. Around 25% of those who apply are accepted at some of the country’s leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

Career-focused vocational courses

School leavers who prefer a more practical and hands-on approach to their learning are also well-served by Paston College. Our vocational further education offer includes courses in Art & Design, Business, Computing, Creative Media, Health & Social Care, Performing & Production Arts, and Sport. On completion of Level 3 (equivalent to three A Levels), students leave Paston College fully equipped to progress to university, Apprenticeships or Degree Apprenticeships or to begin their careers.

English, maths, and digital skills courses for adults

English, maths and digital skills are the building blocks for getting a promotion or a better job, or for making your way back into work or study. We now offer free essential skills courses to help you take your next steps, all in just a few hours a week.

Part-time leisure courses for adults

Would you like to explore a new hobby, hone a skill or find a new passion? We offer a number of evening courses for adults to learn something new, develop new skills and meet like-minded people in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Multi Enterprise course for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities

This personalised programme focuses on individual preparation for the future beyond college. Students are supported to develop their employability and life skills, including maths and English, and are empowered to find the job or pathway that will suit them best.
