Who’s Who in Always... Patsy Cline CasT Mary ellen Cerroni (louis Seger) is from Endicott, NY, but currently resides in Farmington, NM. Mary Ellen is an accomplished flute player and has been a dental assistant on an infantry post while in the army; a dental hygienist while living in Dallas, TX; a physician’s assistant while living in Alamogordo, NM; and a music teacher for an elementary school while living in Farmington, NM . Favorite roles include Louisa in The Fantasticks, Josephine in HMS Pinafore, Aice in You Can’t Take It With You, and Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie . She lives with her husband Armando, the love of her life, and her mom . She misses her dad, sister, and mother- in-law who are all watching the show from heaven with Patsy. traCi lyn tHoMaS (Patsy Cline) graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theatre and has spent the last 28 years as a professional musical theatre actress (Actors’ Equity Association), teacher, director and producer . She has performed in Mamma Mia (Las Vegas Company), Les Miserables (National tour) and Civil War (National tour) . As a director Traci Lyn has directed over a dozen children and college productions here in the Four Corners area and Idaho . In Durango she is a summer teacher for DAC Applause! and is a founding member of Imaginary Friends productions . Traci Lyn lives in Texas with her husband, children and dogs . 11


banD riCHard Cerroni (bass) is from Endicott, NY but currently lives in Texas . Richard was taught to play bass from his father, who was a musician . Richard sings and is the sound technician for a local Dallas rock band called Rogue Radio . They perform regularly at Six Flags and in local bars and restaurants in the Dallas area . He has performed in his children’s school and church productions . Richard has served in the Navy as an aviation electronics technician and currently works as a field service representative for Omnicell. He loves to build and restore cars. Richard has two children, Mitch and Grace, and lives with his love, “My Sharona”. C. SCott Hagler (Music director, Piano) is executive director of 3rd Ave. Arts, a non-profit organization that hosts music, art and multidisciplinary events including the Durango Bach Festival, Durango Chamber Music Festival, Sacred Arts Festival, the St . Mark’s Recital Series as well as provides arts education opportunities for all ages . Scott is moving to Santa Fe this summer, where he will focus on expanding 3rd Ave . Arts’ reach in the Southwest and offer arts marketing services . He has served on DAC’s board of directors . He maintains a freelance graphic design business with clients across the country, and is active as an artist and composer . trina Martin (drums) would like to thank Theresa A . Carson and Scott Hagler for giving her a great excuse to come back to Durango for an extended summer visit! Favorite musicals at the DAC for which she played drums include Happy Days, Seussical the Musical, Beehive, the 60s musical, and Cabaret . A highlight for Trina during her eight years living in Durango was playing for the 2010 production of Always...Patsy Cline . Trina currently resides in Round Rock, TX with her loving husband and two amazingly talented daughters. When she’s not cheering and chauffeuring their dance teams, she is the director of education for Rhythm Band Instruments, promoting music education across the country . eVan Suiter (bass) was born and raised in Colorado and began his professional career at age thirteen . Evan studied music at Fort Lewis College and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in music education in 2008. Since then, Evan has continued his musical exploration by attending and working on staff at Victor Wooten’s Center for Music and Nature near Nashville . Evan currently lives in Durango and keeps a busy performance schedule with both large and small groups . He is an active educator and has taught privately as well as held faculty positions at Fort Lewis College and the Stillwater Foundation music program . Jeroen Van tyn (Fiddle) has a musical career that spans performances with jazz musicians Dave Holland, Gary Peacock, Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Colorado Ballet, Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT – A Contemporary Theatre, the American Contemporary Dance Company and 12


poet Allen Ginsberg . He has played with numerous jazz, Latin jazz, traditional Afro-Cuban, Balkan and contemporary folk bands . Jeroen performs professionally in the Durango area and is executive director of the Stillwater Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing music classes and lessons to youth and adults . He is also music director and principal composer for 20 Moons, a Durango-based contemporary dance theatre company .

ProDUCTion Team eliSabetH a. ballStadt (Stage Manager) moved to Durango from the Midwest after some time on the East Coast less than two years ago. Eli has worked backstage and onstage for over 30 years . Some of her favorite roles include June Carter Cash in Ring of Fire, Beth in the Beebo Brinker Chronicles, Izzy in Rabbit Hole, Sabina in The Skin of Our Teeth, and The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz . Her work in television and film can be seen in theaters and on HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, FOX, and Discovery . eriC bulriCe (Set, light, and Projection design) is the technical director and facilities manager at the Durango Arts Center . Eric studied theatrical design and production management at Idyllwild Arts Academy and Carnegie Mellon University . Eric worked in commercial scene shops and as a stagehand for several productions throughout Southern California . From 2010-2014 Eric founded and operated Create IF Designs and Solutions, a small content branding firm that he sold in November 2014. Eric is looking forward to working on DAC productions in the coming years, and is honored to be part of such a dedicated, and talented team . tHereSa a. CarSon (director) is currently the artistic director and theatre manager of the Durango Arts Center, an adjunct faculty member for the Fort Lewis College Theatre Department, and has served as the artistic director of Sandstone Productions for six years for the City of Farmington . Favorite directing credits include Cabaret, Footloose, Beehive, the 60s musical, Glengarry Glen Ross, and W;t. Recent acting credits include Brooke in Other Desert Cities and Kess in Independence, both collaborations between DAC Theatre and Merely Players of Durango, CO . diane welle (Costume designer) currently resides in Durango . You may have seen her costume designs here at DAC in the original production of Always....Patsy Cline, Beehive, the 60s musical, and Cabaret . Other favorite credits include Guys and Dolls, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, West Side Story, Last of the Red Hot Lovers, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Romantic Comedy, and Into The Woods.

ted Swindley (author and original director) has directed and/ or produced over 200 plays for over 20 years . Some of his outstanding directorial credits include world premieres, classics and musicals including, CARNAL KNOWLEDGE, PACIFIC OVERTURES, FOLLIES and CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, along with rotating repertory projects such as Havel’s THE MEMORANDUM with Giradoux’ s THE MADWOMAN OF CHAILLOT, Thornton Wilder’s OUR TOWN and LES LIAISONS DANGEREUSES WITH THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST . Ted was named to Esquire magazine’s register of Americans for Outstanding Achievement in Arts and Letters, and was featured in Southern Living Magazine . In 2007 he was a keynote speaker at the Southwestern Theatre Conference . He was also the recipient of the Los Angeles Dramalogue Award for outstanding direction and nominated for the Los Angeles Critics Award for his work at the Pasadena Playhouse . He is the Founding Artistic Director of Stages Repertory Theatre, the second largest theatre in Houston, Texas . There he implemented such diverse programming as the Texas Playwrights Festival, for which he won national recognition in 1986 from the Wall Street Journal and Backstage Magazine . Best known for creating the hit musical, ALWAYS . . . PATSY ·CLINE, which was one of the top ten shows produced across the country in 1998, he has also directed in over 60 theatres . THE HONKY TONK ANGELS is his latest hit, and he has completed the trilogy with THE HONKY TONK ANGELS HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR, and BUBBA’S REVENGE, (which all can be done independently of each other) . He has just recently premiered his latest work, BACHELOR PAD in New York City, and completed a Southern adaptation of THE IMPORTANT OF BEING EARNEST, entitled THE IMPORTANCE OF BEIN’ EARNEST, and a play, STORIES MY GRANDMOTHER TOLD ME, which had its premiere in Kansas City, MO, January 2008 . He is an active member of the Dramatists Guild and The Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers, and is a member of the Playwrights/ Directors Workshop at the famed Actors Studio in New York City .

Who’s Who in Rent CasT eliSabetH a. ballStadt (Company) moved to Durango from the Midwest after some time on the East Coast less than two years ago. Eli has worked backstage and onstage for over 30 years . Some of her favorite roles include June Carter Cash in Ring of Fire, Beth in the Beebo Brinker Chronicles, Izzy in Rabbit Hole, Sabina in The Skin of Our Teeth, and The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz . Her work in television and film can be seen in theaters and on HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, FOX, and Discovery . aaron biSHoP (benny) has been actively involved within the arts community in San Juan County for a number of years and is ecstatic to finally make a debut at the Durango Arts Center. Between serving as a musical arts K-12 educator, lighting designer, and an actor, a few of his favorite credits include The Polar Express, Into the Woods, Footloose, Grease, Cabaret, and Seussical the musical. He just finished portraying the role of Lumiere and serving as vocal director for Sandstone Productions’ summer show of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Farmington, NM . SaraH CHoSZCZyK (Company) has been involved in theater most of her life, even earning a Bachelor of Arts in theatre from the University of Denver . She is returning to the stage after an absence of several years, but in that time has continued to sing in the Durango Choral Society and the Durango Women’s Choir as well as be a studio musician in Gravity, the band her husband formed years ago . Sarah also practices martial arts, rides motorcycles, and works from home as a medical biller . tyler Colle (Company) just graduated from Fort Lewis College with a double major in music business and philosophy and a minor in theatre . His goal is to be a music producer and own his own studio . Recent credits include The Producers and Thoroughly Modern Millie at Fort Lewis College as well as Pippin at the Durango Arts Center . Tyler also has a love and talent for being a percussionist . SCotty Howard (angel dumott Schunard) was born and raised in Durango . Scotty is once again excited to join the DAC team after performing the role of the Emcee in DAC Theatre’s production of Cabaret in the fall of 2013 . Starting with school productions in the 9-R school district, Scotty has also trained under various teachers and theatre practitioners at PerryMansfield Arts Camp, Idyllwild Arts Academy, Boulder Jazz Dance, and the prestigious Durango Performing Arts Company (DPAC) . Favorite roles include Ivan Ivanovich in The Overcoat, Tommy’s Father in Tommy, and Simba in The Lion King . MoHriaH JaMeS (Company) grew up in Bayfield and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre from Fort Lewis College . Favorite roles include Frenchy in Grease with Sandstone Productions, Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown with Thingamajig Theatre Company, and a four-time

Phantom in The Rocky Horror Show with Henry Strater Theatre . She was most recently seen as an ensemble member in Mary Poppins with Merely Players. When not onstage, Mohriah enjoys tap at Durango Dance, zumba, karaoke, and inner-tubing down the Animas River . benJaMin MattSon (tom Collins) graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre arts . Ben originally came to the Four Corners area to perform the role of Frank Butler in Annie Get Your Gun with Sandstone Productions in 2009 . He decided to stay in the area, where he has performed with the Durango Arts Center, Sandstone Productions, Merely Players, the Henry Strater Theatre, and San Juan College . Some of his favorite credits include Sweeney Todd in Sweeney Todd, the Reverend in Footloose, and Dr . Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. daVe MenSCH (roger davis) is a touring singer/songwriter that performs 200 - 250 shows a year across Colorado and New Mexico . As a teen in Aspen, CO, Dave performed in musicals such as Grease, Godspell, and Aladdin, among others . After attending Fort Lewis College, working at Katzin Music, and managing Eagle Sound Recording Studio, Dave decided to pursue his music career . “Mensch is a pure entertainer . Drawing audiences in from city to city with his comedic personality, improv-lyrics and songs you love to sing!” Three albums have been released on iTunes and he is currently working on his fourth . benJaMin J. MartineZ (Company) is in the business of making moments into treasures . Whether he is taking photographs, singing in the shower, or performing on stage, his love of art abounds . He fell in love with Rent in high school, comforted and inspired by its naked appreciation for the human experience . A graduate of Brooks Institute of Photography, Benjamin has long sought to bring voice to the beauty of life and is excited to use his performance talents to do the same. He has always believed in the magic of diversity and is thankful to share that with the community . Jenny FittS reynoldS (Joanne Jefferson) is thrilled to be sharing the stage with the cast and crew of Rent . Recent local credits include Dolly Tate in Annie Get Your Gun (Sandstone Productions), Violet in The Tavern (Durango Melodrama), and ensemble member in I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Merely Players) . In Chicago Jenny played Mrs . Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (Metropolis); Lorena Hickok in First Lady Suite and Rose in Christmas Schooner (Bailiwick); ensemble in Camelot and Kiss Me Kate (Drury Lane Oakbrook); and Mama in Chicago (Pheasant Run) . Love to her husband and four children . Paige riCHter (Company) currently resides in Durango . Her voice ranges from a small twang to a loud belt . Starting with musical theatre, she learned to have a stage presence that could wow a crowd . She continued her career in performing with the 50’s traveling group Encore of the Durango Performing Arts Company (DPAC) . She has had the opportunity to perform 22


at Universal Studios and Disneyland . In March of 2014, her Country EP was released . All country singing aside, Paige is thrilled to be back on stage with this amazingly talented cast . KriSten brewer Sitter (Mimi Marquez) has been the owner and dance director of Durango Dance for eight years, offering dance instruction for children and adults in tap, hip hop, ballet, jazz, and break dance, among others . Kristen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Louisiana State University, where she continued graduate work in public education for inner city schools in New Orleans . Favorite credits include Annie, The Sound of Music, and Show Boat at the Baton Rouge Theatre . She is happy to be back on the DAC stage after performing in Cabaret in the fall of 2013 . Paul artHur Stewart iii (Mark Cohen) had been doing theatre in the Farmington area for almost ten years . Favorite credits include Ren in Footloose, Kenickie in Grease, and Motel Komzoil in Fiddler on the Roof with Sandstone Productions as well as El Gallo in The Fantasticks and an ensemble member in The Laramie Project at San Juan College . Paul has also served as a teacher’s assistant for children with special needs with the Farmington Municipal Schools. This is Paul’s first show in Durango. Cierra taylor (Company) is very excited to be joining the cast of Rent this summer. She is currently a biology major with a minor in theatre at Fort Lewis College and is set to graduate this December! Cierra has performed in many shows since she was a young lass . Favorite credits include Kate Monster in Avenue Q and Hold Me Touch Me in The Producers at Fort Lewis College; Columbia in The Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Henry Strater Theatre; and ensemble/stage manager in Pippin at the Durango Arts Center . riCHard tSetHliKai (Company) was born in Durango, CO, and graduated from Bayfield High School in 2010. He’s had a love of performing from an early age. Throughout his years at Bayfield High School, he played the trumpet in the band and sang baritone in the choir . He went on to study vocal performance at Fort Lewis College . Acting credits include Loan Shark Willy in Lost City of the Nunus and Oberon in Dream on Royal Street at Bayfield High School as well as Euba in Christmas Presence at the Durango Arts Center . KatHerine walKer (Maureen Johnson) is a recent alumni of Baylor University . She graduated in May 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in French, and will be teaching English in the region of Toulouse this fall . In February, Katherine advanced to the quarterfinals in Georgia’s national American Traditions Singing Competition . Favorite credits include Cinderella in Into the Woods, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, and ensemble in It’s a Grand Night for Singing . During high school Katherine was a member of Durango Performing Arts Company‘s (DPAC) troupe Encore . She is thrilled to spend the summer participating in the local arts scene once again . 23


banD Paula Millar (Music director, Piano) resides in Vallecito, CO where she moved four years ago to care for her dad . Paula’s most recent credits include Avenue Q and The Producers at Fort Lewis College as well as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Durango Arts Center . Previously, she was a pianist for the (now closed) !Bravo! Ristaurante, located on Denver’s 16th St Mall; the Union Colony Dinner Theater in Greeley, CO; and the University of Northern Colorado Opera and Vocal Department . Paula is currently the President of the Vallecito Service League, and sings with the women’ barbershop chorus, the Women’s Prerogative . ely rio (bass) was born and raised in upstate New York . Ely began playing the double bass at eight years old! She received a B .M . in jazz performance from CSU- Northridge and has toured the world with symphonies and jazz bands . She has been called to the Southwest for a respite of time, where she is grateful to give her gift and enjoy the beauty of the Rockies and people . She believes in the power of music, as it is the medicine of her soul! With her solid bass lines she connects the heartbeat of one to all . MarK roSenberg (drums) is a teacher and professional musician . He currently plays in the band Inglorious Barstools . He has played percussion for the Durango Arts Center Theatre’s productions of Pippin, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Beehive, the 60s musical . Other favorite credits include The Wizard of Oz, Dames at Sea, and West Side Story.

ProDUCTion Team eriC bulriCe (Set design, Sound design) is the technical director and facilities manager at the Durango Arts Center . Eric studied theatrical design and production management at Idyllwild Arts Academy and Carnegie Mellon University . Eric worked in commercial scene shops and as a stagehand for several productions throughout Southern California . From 2010-2014 Eric founded and operated Create IF Designs and Solutions, a small content branding firm that he sold in November 2014. tHereSa a. CarSon (director) is currently the artistic director and theatre manager of the Durango Arts Center, an adjunct faculty member for the Fort Lewis College Theatre Department, and has served as the artistic director of Sandstone Productions for six years for the City of Farmington . Favorite directing credits include Cabaret, Footloose, Beehive, the 60s musical, Glengarry Glen Ross, and W;t. Recent acting credits include Brooke in Other Desert Cities and Kess in Independence, both collaborations between DAC Theatre and Merely Players of Durango, CO .

KeStrel CHaney (Costume designer) is a lover of life, art and seeing people smile, especially her 7 year old pride and joy, her son . Born in Oregon but raised in Colorado, Kestrel dreams of opening her own art


studio for aspiring artists to create their passions . Kestrel has worked in fashion and retail management/buying but recently made the switch to professional artist . She works in multiple mediums including watercolor and acrylic . She recently designed the album cover artwork and staging for the band Hello Dollface’s summer release . She also does volunteer work in arts and crafts with nursing home residents and children . MoniQue Cuyler (assistant lighting designer, light board operator) is from Colorado Springs, Colorado and a junior at Fort Lewis College . Monique absolutely loves the technical side of theatre including lighting, sound, and projection . She most recently served as lighting designer for Dead Man Walking and sound board operator for The Producers . She looks forward to gaining as much experience as possible in all areas of technical theatre before graduating . SuZy diSanto (Choreographer) Suzy holds an M .A . in dance from Mills College in Oakland, California as well as a teaching credential in Laban Movement Studies from Laban Centre in London, England . Suzy has choreographed for 3rd Ave Dance Company, FLC Theatre, Diamond Circle Melodrama, Snowdown Follies, Durango Performing Arts Company, and Sandstone Productions . Suzy is most proud of the program she founded “Take the Lead”, a ballroom dance instruction program for 5th graders in the Durango 9R school district . tueSday autuMn SPeer (dramaturg, assistant Stage Manager) has a passion for the arts that has propelled her through the many poems she has lived . She believes this show is a wonderful example of art bringing about social change. It is her grandest dream to run her own production company dedicated to discovering and promoting new artists, and she is well on her way! Tuesday is a Durango native, a graduate of Durango High School and Fort Lewis College with a lovely daughter who is deserving of a world where art is tantamount in improving society . Selena M. truJillo (Stage Manager) has been involved in many theatrical productions over the last few years. She served as the production and backstage manager for the popular Salt Fire Circus and Bare Bones Burlesque shows from 2010 - 2013; stage manager for Cabaret with the DAC Theatre in 2013; stage manager for The Dame of Durango and The Rocky Horror Show at the Henry Strater Theatre in 2014; and assistant stage manager for Mary Poppins with Merely Players in 2015. She also works with 20 Moons Dance Company and the Snowdown Follies . JoHn MarK ZinK (lighting designer, technician) has recently been on the road with the national touring productions of Mamma Mia, White Christmas, and Nice Work If You Can Get It, John dashes in and out of the DAC to see what is happening in the beautiful town of Durango. These excursions into the Animas River Valley wet John’s appetite to dabble with paint, power tools, and, particularly this time, lights. John’s previous adventures at the DAC has been set and light design for They’re Playing Our Song and Plaza Suite, light design for A Christmas Carol, and set design for Cabaret .
