For as long as I can remember, I have loved making things. I make things from bits of fabric and thread in much the same tradition as my grandmothers, stitching story from color and pattern and texture.

Sometimes that story connects with others: people I do not know and with whom I have very little in common. When such a connection is made, my world becomes a little brighter, a little broader, and a whole lot more enjoyable. I begin to understand myself better when I engage with others who are different from me.

This community places great value on the connections made through art and creative activity, so much so that it founded an organization designed to do just that. For over 70 years, Arts Quincy has helped us share our stories. For over 70 years, Arts Quincy has helped us connect to one another, making us happier and stronger.

I believe in the power of those connections and that is why I believe in and support Arts Quincy.
