DR SHANNON BARNES

"Art speaks to us in many visual languages. Occasionally art will speak with a representational language. On other occasions, art will present fantasy or a mystery language. Art can advocate or warn. Art challenges the viewer to look and listen with intent. What the viewer sees is the interpretation of the conversation between the art and the viewer's soul.

Art provides a visual representation of the beauty created by Father God in our world, within human connections, and in life's purpose. Utilizing this visual language to motivate and grow is my desire. I paint from my heart, giving viewers a window into my soul. I have found this provides freedom to be human. My favorite style is landscapes and seascapes for the calm they can bring."
