David’s drawing style developed as a young boy. He was born in St. Asaph, North Wales. He went to school in the area until moving to England to earn undergraduate honors degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from the University of Birmingham.

Subsequently, he moved to Paris, France, and lived there for six years, during which time he was honored to have his first show of Indian ink and brush paintings on Canson paper. This Paris exhibition depicting “The Body as Architecture” was sponsored and curated by Dr. Caroline Boyle-Turner, the art historian and Gauguin scholar.
David continued to paint, earned graduate degrees in engineering from Northeastern University, and worked as an engineer for over 30 years while raising a family in New England. David’s love for art and creating unique paintings finally came full circle in 2007 when he met International awardwinning artist Sharon Morley, APS. Sharon saw something in the extensive collection of Indian ink paintings that he had created over the years and encouraged him to put color to them. Now, as a full-time artist, he creates works of art that bring light to the imagination, the mind, and the eyes.
Two large examples of David’s artworks, “Pressure” and “Ten Years Before,” were displayed at the “Art en Capital” show held at the Grand Palais, Paris, 25 – 30 November 2014, in the Artistes Independants section of the show. “Ten Years Before” was awarded the “Toile D’Or De l’Annee 2015” by the Federation Nationale De La Culture Francaise.
