Fish Island Prematorium Prematoriums are body freezing facilities that allow for rapid shallow burials. The proposal tests the affects of liquid Nitrogen at -196째C on employed materials that allow for the permeation of the substance. This creates a phenomenon of that accompanies the burial process.

The Great Fen Visitor Centre Design Statement
We have considered the new visitor centre as the primary focal point for the Great Fen and its associated activities. We conceive the elements of the brief as a deconstructed cluster of striking, ‘hovering’, thatch forms that are raised within the landscape and orientated to achieve 360° connection with the unique and evolving surrounding wetland fen. The scheme sensitively correlates historic references with a modern vernacular interpretation, bringing a new layer of meaning to the manmade landscape ‘artifice’ that is the Great Fen.
Great Fen Visitor Centre Cambridgeshire
We see the visitor centre and direct site as a microcosm of the wider Great Fen. Visitors to the site should be able to have a taste of the wider environment. As such the scheme proposes introductions of multiple habitats and a new body of water directly associated with the new buildings.
Our assembled team has direct experience of working on similar projects in fenland environments as well as experience working collaboratively both with each other and with clients that have similar requirements. Members of our team also have direct experience working locally to the site.
We have a strong track record for design stimulated by high quality consultation and an ability to work with both our clients and end-users directly. Our team similarly has significant experience in helping clients raise funds for such projects. The following pages of the document further set out initial responses to the brief and our design intent. We have organised the document so that it directly responds to the brief requirement section by section.

Jalal al Najjar Managing Director PAD Architects and Egineers P.O Box 654, Manama Kingdom of Bahrain
mail@msalimited.com
Thursday 10th January 2013 Dear Jalal and Davide, You may recall we met a couple of years ago when I visited Bahrain to see Kavi and Rashad. I hope you are well and trust business is good. I have a freelance colleague who may be moving to Bahrain with her family and is looking for work and I thought of you. I am pleased to recommend Arub Saqib as a competent part 1 Architectural Assistant. Arub has worked under my direct supervision for a design competition, producing exceptional work. I can confidently vouch for her exceptional abilities, and I know she will do well if given the opportunity to continue in the sensitive design environment that PAD offers. Arub possesses a uniquely broad range of skills. As well as being proficient in the use of the important programs (she worked well with Microstation and the Adobe suite whilst in my office), she is also an award-winning writer. This made me comfortable with leaving her to write up required statements. She has an eye for design and produces beautiful hand-made models and drawings, which she also did for us at MSA. Her enthusiasm meant she took initiative; carrying out her own site visit as well as extensive research unprompted. Training at the Bartlett has instilled a strong work ethos in her and I could trust her to complete the work assigned on time and unsupervised. She was vocal in asking for guidance when needed and also contributed fresh ideas to the design team. Her work experience in award winning firms including Hopkins architects, muf and her participation in the 2012 Venice Biennale was very valuable to us. Compared to the other candidates I interviewed for this position, I found Arub the most promising and impressive with regards to breadth and extent of skills. She has a bright and confident personality and was a pleasure to work with. I trust you will find her an extremely valuable asset to your team. Best wishes,
Matthew Springett
