WHAT DOWN SYNDROME CHILDREN NEEDS Down syndrome children can achieve their optimal self-actualization if there is positive support from their surroundings in a supportive environment. The facility in this project considers DS children's characteristics to stimulate their abilities. The integration of education, health, research center, and social function is expected to fulfill their needs to develop optimally. To eliminate the negative stigma from society to DS children, this facility will also open for public.
Most down syndrome children in Indonesia can be found in Priangan, West Java. Hence, this project will be located in the city of Bandung as the capital city of West Jawa. This project aims to fulfill the needs of Down Syndrome Children in West Java and its surroundings.
SITE ANALYSIS The design of the outdoor space must be supervised to prevent children from “running away”.
Visual access potential to the forest park and other surrounding areas
Building boundaries can be used as a pedestrian path and green space to act as a buffer.
The level difference on land can be used as a place to train down syndrome children's motor skills.

CIBADAK HAVEN : MIXED-USE URBAN OASE
20 | Portfolio 2022
2 Type Typology Year Location Building Area Supervisor
: Architectural Studio Project : Mixed-Use : 2020 : Bandung, Indonesia : 10.250 sqm : Dewi Larasati, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.
Urban Oase is green open space that can be used for many people in a dense urban area. This concept is intended to be applied to the Cibadak area which has few green areas in a high population density so that this urban oasis is expected to provide a gathering space that can improve the quality of the Cibadak area. In designing this mixed use building, there are 3 main concerns, contextual, green architecture, and inclusive community-based design.
Cibadak Haven: Mixed-Use Urban Oase | 21
PROJECT BACKGROUND
Urban Decay is a process of deteriorating the environmental quality of the area. This is indicated slum and abandoned buildings, inadequate infrastructure, and high unemployment rate. One of the area that has been affected is Cibadak, a historical area. To prevent further spread of the phenomenon, Cibadak needs an urban regeneration to improve the quality of an area and restore the attractiveness of the area.

22 | Portfolio 2022
AXONOMETRY As an urban oasis, three main things need to be considered in the design. The first is contextual, located in a historic area, the design of this mixed-use building needs to pay attention to the context of the surrounding environment. The main thing to note is the continuity of the arcade. The second is green architecture. Even though it is located between old buildings, buildings with new functions need to pay attention to the resulting environmental impacts. The provision of inclusive, informal spaces is needed in this area because, with the intensity of this high-density area, there is no open space that can be used as a space for interaction.

RUWO BENUO TAKA : PENAJAM PASER UTARA PUBLIC SQUARE
Type Typology Year Location Team
: Architecture Competition (participant) : Public Space : 2020 : Kalimantan, Indonesia : Prayoga Arya, Fadhilah Sayogo
Ruwo Benuo Taka means the spirit of our village in Dayak Paser language. This Phrase describes the new alun-alun in North Penajam Paser Regency. The design of this square is based on the spirit to preserve the Dayak Paser culture in globalization era. The concept that wants to be presented is a combination of local and modern culture to create a new balance so that it can adapt to the new capital by combining urban forest concept, smart and sustainable design with a touch of local culture. According to the local community, there has not been any involvement of indigenous tribes in the design of the new capital city, so that the design of this plaza is expected to be the answer to this issue and simultaneously display the ornaments of the Dayak Paser tribe.

STREET OF TOMORROW: CIPETE SMART LIVING STREET
Type Typology Year
: Architecture Competition : Street, Urban, Conceptual Idea : 2022
Location
: Jakarta, Indonesia
Streets should be a place that supports public life. In Indonesia, cars dominate streets, but it is necessary to prioritize humans as the main users of a street. However, this change cannot occur directly. Instead, there should be an adjustment to change the perspective of the street and shift the people's behavior in the streets in a sustainable manner. One of the firststage solution for this is a shared street where cars and pedestrians can move around together in one street by narrowing the road for cars and providing extensive pedestrian paths. In addition, to limit the movement of cars or other motorized vehicles, zigzag roads are made so that the vehicles can have a low speed and it is not dangerous for people.
6
Street of Tomorrow: Cipete Smart Living Street | 47
Jalan Cipete Raya is one of the streets within a walking radius of 350m from the Cipete Raya MRT station. Furthermore, based on urban design guidelines for the TOD area, Cipete has a midrise building character with 40% commercial functions to increase the area's economic value and encourage the growth of new economic activities. With these considerations, this project rethinks the future street of Jalan Cipete Raya as one of the streets that have the potential to become a shopping street that can boost Jakarta's creative economy.

With the development of technology, technology should be able to support activities on the street that can be integrated through applications. It can be done in 4 ways: 1. Utilization of piezoelectric energy from pedestrian steps. 2. Flexibility of lockable modular public furniture that can be moved as needed. 3. Utilization of smart tiles that can collect public life data. 4. Spatio-temporal street so that it can be used all day.

Placemaking Project Responsibility Role: Chief Executive Supervised by: Widiyani, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. and Dr. Ir. Christina Gantini, M.T.
As a creative city that is part of UCCN, Bandung has many interesting areas to visit, one of which is Jalan Cihapit. The emergence of creative movements in Bandung in 2014 contributed to the development of the Cihapit area, which was initially limited to traditional markets, to become one of the creative economy centers in the culinary and craft fields. This development has gradually contributed to promoting the Cihapit area to become one of the must-visit areas in the city of Bandung. However, these developments still leave a space between traditional and creative society, between old and new.
Colored Glass becomes the common thread that ties all perceptions, bypassing the invisible boundaries that separate them, showing that everyone sees Cihapit with their own lens and color. Like a series of colored glass, a series of perceptions of Cihapit can form new experiences and understandings. Colored Glass will fuse the creativity of today with history and memories of the past, introducing that Cihapit is more than we all imagined. In the event, there are eight main places to visit divided by three clusters; modern, traditional, and reading cluster. Participants of Colored Glass went to the different places, at least one of each cluster.
COLORED GLASS This placemaking event applies two placemaking tools: the power of 10 from placemakingchicago.com and four placemaking parameters from Project for Public Spaces (PPS). While the participant visited the curated places, they were asked to fill out the workbook and placemaking booths in every area that reflected what they felt during this event. In addition, there were also QR codes that the participant can scan to add their insight for each place.
After the activity took place, data obtained from participants through workbooks and placemaking booths were collected and processed by the research team. The result of this activity is feedbacks for each site visited in terms of placemaking. This is useful for tenants to improve themselves and the participants to remember their journey and the places they visited in this event.
