The above three areas are part of the public zone as the maximum visitor penetration is seen here . Moreover any outsider, who is not a part of the university is not allowed to go beyond this area without the permission of the receptionist or the librarian. That is the major reason for including these areas in PUBLIC ZONE.

These three areas more or less form the administrative section of the library and the major work is done here. So, in order to maintain the discipline of the library and not disturbing the other quiet sections of the library, theses are the part of the PUBLIC ZONE. Also the maximum and major on and off crowd is seen here.

Record room Record room is the enclosed room. It does not easily allow outsider’s to enter. Without the Librarian’s permission. So, keeping this in mind, it is a part of the SEMI PUBLIC ZONE.

These two sections are majorly meant for the University students to study silently and have healthy group discussions without the interference of outside world. Therefore to give them their own space, these sections are the part of PRIVATE ZONE.

A number of options were prepared for the client keeping in mind the zoning. The final layout was carry forward to the 3D model.

Lounge Space

The above three sections mostly deal with the “insiders”, the university people and therefore it’s the part of the SEMI PUBLIC ZONE as there is almost no visitor’s penetration in these sections.

Electronic Library

The Proximity was prepared keeping in mind the client requirements as well as the functional and aesthetic aspects of the space, also the case studies and visits to different libraries was quiet beneficial.

PRIVATE ZONE

Television Area

Faculty Library This Is a section which is only accessible and operated by the University faculty. Outsiders or the students are not allowed to enter the section and for through the information or the books. To maintain this privacy level, this section is a part of the PRIVATE ZONE.

Again, these two sections are mostly visited by the university people, but do not expose any private information to the users. Therefore are the part of the SEMI PUBLIC ZONE.

PDF Compressor Pro The University Library Design has a very structured system and follows a grid that is already existing on the site. Everything falls in line with the columns. This was intentionally not changed in order to camouflage the columns so that they are not virtually disturbing to the eye. But soon, there was a realization that this straight grid Line of the Library structure system for columns and partitions adds to the seriousness of the space making its character more formal. This formal look works well for the Library Space. There are few kinds of partitions that are added to the space in order to maintain the amount of privacy for each kind of post. For example the Librarian office, were given partitions in order to maintain their privacy level from the students and outsiders in the Library, and also not to disturb him from his accounts and work. There also has been an attempt at creating two kinds of space; i.e. formal and informal by creating the Living area as an informal space. The Structure and design of the Library itself deals with individual and collective identities since some people are meant to work individually like the Librarian while there are different areas like the discussion section, television section that had a collective identity.

RETAIL SPACE The retail space includes the products, artworks, portfolios and all other kind of work done by the students. The theme for the Retail space was high-tech. The theme stands in context of a lot of things that are referred to be in the category of high` tech like LCD screens to show the kind of products and artworks displayed in the space

RESOURCE CENTER The resource center is basically like a library for the students to clear their doubts so that understanding towards subject is more clear. This space includes books, portfolios, different kinds of fabrics and swatches. This was done through materials like metal and steel for the wall, racks, shelving systems and different kind of stands unlike the normal material wood or bamboo which makes it more high tech, developed and advanced.

PDF Compressor Pro RESTAURANT DESIGN The theme and the ambience of the restaurant is done keeping in mind the cuisine that is served in the restaurant, mughlai. It is designed with an approach of bringing in the mughal elements through mughal architecture, mughal food and mughal art work.

KITCHEN STOOL The design aspect of the Kitchen stool was working on the aesthetic part of it and simultaneously moving to its functional aspect. The next, was the dimensions, size, making the construction drawings and materials for the furniture keeping in mind the cost and budget for the furniture. Different kinds of joints were used for different functions
