Project detail: Agricultural Research Center and Institute, 357.2 acre. Thanjavure, Thirukanurpatti. Project type Hypothetical. Design Process: First i split the site into three parts as shown in the below figure. With respect to the road the site divided into two halfs like one half is for agricultural fields and another is for academci purposes. OSR (1,42,520sq.m) Research fields (8,43,053sq.m) Academic Area (5,38,231sq.m)
The main axis road inside the campus is mentioned below why this road is choosen in site like this ? Becouse of the agricultural land the site already split into two half also the OSR.
There are three entries to this academy one from west side gate and another from south side gate and the third gate is from the agricultural field. Yes, there is an entry from agricultural field to the main campus.
And the road connectivity, in this huge site there must need to walk along this long distant roadso that the facility can be added for this long distants like free cycle inside the campus or rented rickshaw and the bus facility is near the admin block so that the students and even staff can easyly acess both the admin and the academic block. There is no hostel fecility inside the campus, why because of the hostel is an fecility not an neccessary and for this agricultural campus is near by thanjavur new bus stand over half of the km, like 0.5k.m away and also the local train facility is nearby over 0.8k.m away. so due to the good transportation connectivity this campus doesn’t need an hostel fecility. The main reason to choose the research field in that place is to because of the water supply. A drain is passaing across the site in the east side of the site. Also in the west side there is no agricultural field so that i choose that place as a construction area.

DESIGN PROCESS: ADMIN BLOCK When a person (student, staff or a visitor) enter the campus there are two gates for this campus with an one service entry, in that two entrys there is one main entrance for this campus through that main gate the user first see the huge ground of solar panel yard for energy resorce. After that there is an bus terminal along that terminal there is an road cut through which is lead to the botanical garden and staff quartus. Along the same road from the main gate the admin block is located. The admin block is designed in the style of “Dravidian architecture” let’s see the features inside the building. The admin block is an single story building with two wings the center part is an open space like courtyard. And there are two seminar hallwith the chairman chamber, meating room, office area with the main service and documentation room across those wings. Inside the building staff takes a major roll. AUDITORIUM There are two block similar in the shape but act as for different purpose, like one is for Auditorium and one is for multi puspose hall. In this Auditorium there are overall 686 seats in the ground floor and 329 seats in the balcony. Totally there are 1015 seats in this overall Auditorium.
MULTI PURPOSE HALL Multi Purpose Hall (MPH) is also the look like similar to the auditorium but in this MPH there is some differace in heights and there are some few extra requirements in auditorium which are all negleted in this MPH. STAFF QUARTUS
Staff quartus Staff quartus is located near the admin block of this campus. Over 12 quartus for 12 department lab incharge, so that they can access for maintainance of the lab.

ACADEMIC BLOCK Academic block was splited into 3 wings within the 3 wings there are 12 UG departments and 1 PG department. Also each department have its own HOD cabin, Department cabin, Director cabin and each departments have its own library. And also an common library and computer lab facility which is connecting overall departments. The standards for toilets and parking are followed as per the nbc norms, for each two department there in the interacting space there is an toilet for both male and female. Also there is an seperation for staff and student toilet in each two departments. The parking for the each deparment is given in the sides of the building and the academic block is an universal building like provistion of ramps for physicaly disabled persons. The total build up area: 4.252 acres FSI:0.01 No of parkings: 296 Car parking and 308 Bike parking •

The Lab
LABORATORY BLOCK Laboratory block is located near the academic block with 15 labs 2 workshops and also 4 lab directores office. Each 2 labs have one maintainance room and store room. Also this entire block is symetry. Even though this block is huge there is only one main entry to this block with 4 sub entries only for laboratory staff’s. Also the sub entries are act for the workshop entryes. In the corneres of the building there is Animal Chamber and Plant Growth Chamber which is main need of services so that this two labs have its own and direct service entry from outside. Project detail Total Extent 10.76 acres Phase 1 Shopping mall. Site area 8093.71 sq.m Phase 2 Condominium. Site area 8093.7 sq.m Location-Mount Poonamalle High Road.
Concept The basic concept of this design is Biomimicry, biomimicry of the honey bee and its honey comb is the concept of this building. Like the form arrived from the honey comb and basically the honey comb is the best example for the condominium ideas, like honey bees are live toger in a combined manner so that i choose to have this as my concept. shown above like in this condominium there are 4 types of tipical floors there are 1BHK to 4BHK within that there is one extra floor as attached with gym and yoga hall. Also this condominium stilt+20 floors and its height is over 66m each floor is 3m height. and it has 2 levels as basement. There is 216 car parking and 78 bike parking. The overall idea of this building is also followes the basic design principles such as symettry, balance, repetition, axis ets. These principles have been carried out throughout the design.

Concept Design evolution based on design from 1st sem direct implementation of basic design done in 1st sem to the current design. Basic idea inferred from dinamic designs of Rythem, Balance, Symetry, Order, Hyrarchi, To be induced in this design. The idea of arbitary designs done in first sem is valuable in producing a design that follows the rules of architecture with correlance to that semester theme and objective.
The basic idea of the design is based on the design philosophy of Le Corbusier he placed system of harmony and proportion at the center of his design philosophy.

Concept The basic idea of this colony type villa is first come to with a individual residence idea. After several revistions the client was proposed me a colony type recidency. And for that in this 2488 sq.ft they requested me a huge requirements like 4 recidence with each recidence need to be a 2BHK. So, here is my concept is arrived like the same as Le Corbosier i just played with symmetry, balace and harmoney etc. which is why the whole recidence is equally spread into two halfs with every individual space are balanced.
