APRIL 2010
For I know the Plans
I am happy to be alive today to witness and testify of the good things the Lord God is doing in Adak Village, northern Uganda. A few weeks ago I did not know what was wrong with me, only that I was having sharp pains in my lower right abdomen. When I went to the hospital, on 8th of March it was confirmed that my appendix was inflamed, swollen and infected. I spent four days in the hospital following the surgery and I praise God that I am fully recovered. Thank you for your prayers that were lifted up for me during that time.
Graduation! I am so excited to let you know of the 3rd graduating class from the bricklaying and concrete class for young and desperate people living in Adak Village. Twenty three youth graduated on April 10th, 2010. The graduation day was a vey wonderful day celebrating the success of our students. The message for the day was, “Graduation is a time of completion, of finishing, of an ending; however, it is also a time of celebration of achievement and a beginning for the new graduate.” Graduation is not the end; it’s only the beginning. To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe. I personally believe that our new gradates are ready to change their community. The training given and the skills acquired cannot be compared with the life these children lived. This is a turning point in their lives, their families and for their entire community. Pray these new graduates will also be able to start their business and others to get jobs to support themselves and their children!
Powerhouse Team The past two weeks were were blessed with the presence of a mission team from Powerhouse Christian Church. Being with all our friends from Powerhouse was the greatest thing that Judith and I had been praying for and at last God fulfilled it. The Powerhouse team was so friendly and wonderful to work with. Thank you my brothers and sister from Powerhouse for coming to Uganda - you made a difference to the community of Adak. And please come again. It is not how much we do that determines the difference that we make, but rather it is the small things done in love that change lives. The support that I have received from Powerhouse Church has changed my life and I was grateful to spend these last days with this team.

Future Plans for Dream Center
On 9th April we had a dinner with the are district leaders for promoting our work in Uganda, sharing the vision of the things that we consider most important. We do not want anyone left behind but our desire is to move together for the great cause of the Adk community. We had a wonderful fellowship sharing the plans for the future of Dream Center and spent our time sharing our vision and challenging the leaders to move with us to build Adak. The District leader gave us assurance that they are willing and excited to support us and partner with us in whatever we are doing. I surely believe that many great things are yet to come. This is only the very beginning of the dreams we hope to fulfill... Currently, TTWU is preparing for the building of a full service medical center. The nearest small clinic is approximately 7 kilometers from the center of Adak village, leaving these disadvantaged people little or no options for health treatment especially in cases of emergency. Innocent victimes have no choice but to suffer and die. It is our desire to assist and build a facility that will be able to treat all major medical problems and will also be able to perform minor surgeries. Additionally, our land will be home to the future DREAM CENTER VOCATIONAL SCHOOL. A complete facility will allow us to hold different job skill trainings at a time. The TTWU Dream Center will be a safe and practical place for all those who are seeking counseling and guidance from a traumatic past as they trust God to assist them in reaching their goals and fulfilling their dreams for the future. Proposed Time Line of Dream Center Projects: April 2010 – Begin construction on Health Center May 2010 – Installation of Clean Water Filtration System July 2010 – Completion of Health Center building August 2010 – Begin construction of Vocational School September 2010 – Opening of Health Center to Adak Village and surrounding communities December 2010 – Completion of Vocational School building
