Rationale

Student Supervision

The ASA programme provides positive experiences to enrich and extend the school curriculum and to offer extra curricula opportunities for our students.

Supervision is available for students staying for lunch/ taking the 4:00pm school bus

Registration is available via Google form on the ASA Website

Please make cheque payable to ‘CDNIS’; Cheques can be delivered in a sealed envelope to the 9/F school office in person or by post to“Activities Dept., Canadian International School of Hong Kong, 36 Nam Long Shan Road, Aberdeen”

If payment is not received by the due date, enrolment will be immediately cancelled

Please write your child’s name, CDNIS student number (non CDNIS write REG), course code/name, parent name/contact number on the reverse side of the cheque; Confirmation will be sent via email

Pro-rata rates are available, $500 fee applies

Cancellation/Make up Lessons •

For the Summer Programme minimum numbers are needed for each activity to run. Normally this is a min. of 3 participants per class. If there is insufficient enrolment to run the course a full refund will be given.

Medical •

In the case of a medical emergency your child will be transported to the nearest public hospital (Queen Mary) by ambulance; In such cases parents will be notified

We remind students not to share food with others due to unknown food allergies

•

Whole day students may purchase light snacks at the Maple Leaf Café using an octopus card or bring their own lunch from home. If your child brings lunch from home, please clearly label their lunchbox and pack non-perishable food.

CDNIS Summer School Makerspace: hands-on - tools - tech - innovation - inspiration Run by teachers who have graduated from Harvard, Project Zero Teaching & Learning in the Maker-centred Classroom, students will turn their ideas into reality. Boys and Girls Recreation Gym Camp - Junior Beginners: 4 to 6 years old - Senior Beginners: 7 plus years old This is a fun camp for students who are new to gymnastics. They will have a chance to explore their physical potential through basic gymnastics. This course is a great way to develop motor skills in young children. Boys & Girls Gym Camp Level 1/2 (Age 6+) This class is aimed at students who already have a gymnastics background and who are interested in learning more skills in the Australian Levels Programme: floor, beam, bars and vault. Boys & Girls Gym Camp Level 3 , 4, 5 & 6 (Age 8+) These are the intermediate to advanced level classes for gymnasts who are both physically and mentally prepared for gymnastic challenges. Touch Rugby: Super Skills! Noodles and bouncing balls are all part of the creative ways to teach the key touch rugby skills of agility, avoidance and passing.

Touch Rugby: Practice like a Pro! This intensive course will give the opportunity for players to really focus on individual areas of development along with speed, agility and jumping! Boys Choir - the oldest and most successful choir in the world. Four internationally acclaimed choral conductors will fly all the way from Vienna to Hong Kong. Together they will lead the participants through a series of choral training and cultural activities. Participants may also be invited to perform at the “Magic of Music” Community Concert at the Academic Community Hall on July 29th!
