Firstly, for a Design to strike a note with the human Soul, it has to be compatible and complementary to the site environmental Contexts. Among them ascending ridges of Margallahills in the Background, the centrality of site with the 8th Avenue, the lush green fore ground of F-9 Park and green margallasin the background are the ones which consumed my creative thoughts. The result was an Architectural composition which is Left for the critic to appraise.

Scope of work : Presentation work | Site supervision

DESIGN APPROACH

Secondly, for an Architectural design to be successful, design efficiency and user experience plays a key role. Exposing the Efficient horizontal and vertical circulation in the interior space to enrich the user experience of the Design. Transitional spaces between building being converted into break out spaces for students, while the site contours transformed into sitting steps and amphitheatresfor achieving productivity and pleasant user experience,

Thirdly, the design had to survive thru Budgetary constraints which were addressed by economical selection of finishing materials yet due importance was given to sustainability.

The Project was assigned as the main central mosque for AlamabadEducational Complex -a welfare development made for underpriviledgedpopulation of Swabi, KPK, Pakistan. The Complex consisted of university, schools, hospital, vocational centreand student/faculty accommodations. This Mosque was defined to be the Islamic center for Islamic studies and congregation of the campus community. The Design concept was formed along the Islamic concept of “God is everywhere’’, where it is believed that God is present in nature,in our hearts, and all our surroundings. The Architectural translation of the idea was derived through the simple strategy of creating a structure with symmetry along allaxes of the building, as well as a crown-like structure developing to portray resting of every module on the next, stressing the importance and strength of the community in Islam, through which we were able to project dynamic external court spaces, which led to enhancngthe approach experience of the design as well as allowed for excess space for excessive attendance at the mosque.
