Dr.RuthHodgeisanaward-winningarchivist,educator,and communityactivistwhohasfurtheredtheadvancementofAfrican AmericanandUnitedStatesmilitaryhistoryresearchandwriting duringthe20thandearly21stcenturies.Shehasspentdecades advocatingforandtellingthehistoryofAfricanAmericansand workedtirelesslytomakesurethosestoriesweresharedlocally. Throughoutherprofessionalcareer,Dr.Hodgealsoworkedtomake surethatmilitaryhistoryincludedthestoriesofAfricanAmericans.
