God intervened and an hour later to Thagyamin’s amazement and joy, his daughter was happily eating a bowl of noodle soup. Bring Aid to the Suffering Countries: Cambodia, Communist Countries, Myanmar, Thailand, West Border Attached Region Funding Goal: $176,263 Life has wonderfully changed for Mrs. Chenda, a struggling single mother raising her two daughters in a remote area of Cambodia! Despair has been replaced with abundant hope! Before, Mrs. Chenda and her family were forced to rely on the contaminated water from a nearby creek and as a result, they were frequently sick, and even their crops struggled to grow! Now with clean fresh water from the new well in their village, they are healthy again, and her crops are thriving, enabling her to provide for her family. Whether displaced by flooding, homeless and hungry, or walking long miles to get water, ASAP Ministries provides humanitarian assistance to help meet the everyday needs of the poor and marginalized in Southeast Asia.

NEW INITIATIVE
Establish a Center of Influence Countries: Cambodia, Communist Country Initial Funding Goal: $50,000 Moeng Navy prayed as she watched the little group of Adventist believers in her village struggle without a leader. Several members had left and returned to Buddhism. Two other nearby small groups were struggling, too. Though naturally timid, this widowed mother of two felt called to do something. She began visiting the church members in this district 70 miles south of Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She encouraged them and organized daily morning and evening worship. Soon signs of life emerged in all three groups.
8
Cambodia Adventist Mission invited Moeng Navy to serve as an ASAP church planter in the district. As she extended her visitation program to the homes of unreached Buddhists in her territory, she became acquainted with their needs and mobilized the church members to respond. They prayed for the sick, distributed food to the hungry, and repaired the homes of those in need. Some of the people they helped began attending church. Bible studies and baptisms followed. Eager to serve and share their faith, three newly baptized young adults started after-school literacy programs in their villages. Some of their students are now attending Moeng Navy’s church plants. This year, ASAP will fulfill another great need in one of these villages, drilling a well to provide a safe water supply. Through one Spirit-led church planter following Christ’s method of evangelism, a center of influence has emerged, and the light of the gospel has been rekindled in southern Cambodia. With God’s provision, ASAP plans to create more centers of influence in the coming year to rapidly spread the good news of salvation and Jesus’ soon return across Southeast Asia.

NEW INITIATIVE
Create Bible Studies for Buddhists Countries: Cambodia, Communist Countries, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, West Border Attached Region Initial Funding Goal: $319,010 How would you present the gospel to someone with a Buddhist worldview? How would you disciple new converts from Buddhism or another Eastern religion? These are the questions driving an exciting new ASAP initiative. Nearly all the Bible study resources currently available to missionaries in Southeast Asia were developed by Westerners with a Christian worldview. And many of the discipleship resources so valuable to church
GIVE:
Gift #10 Help develop Bible studies for Buddhists by giving $50 / $500 / $5,000 Gift #11 Aid in translating discipleship materials into the heart languages of Southeast Asians by giving $30 / $300 / $3,000

members in North America have not yet been translated into the heart languages of the Southeast Asian people. That’s why ASAP Ministries has commissioned the creation of Bible studies that present the precious truths of Scripture with the Buddhist worldview in mind, as well as the translation of key discipleship resources into Burmese, Hmong, Karen, Khmer, Lao, Thai, and Vietnamese. Your support for this landmark initiative will make the gospel more accessible and relatable to those who desperately need it.

EDUCATION
Watch Mission Matters to hear more of Sreyleak’s story 12
Bring Hope to Marginalized Children Countries: Cambodia, Myanmar, West Border Attached Region Funding Goal: $1,724,650 Sreyleak* is a bright student, especially in math, and she often finishes her assignments faster than others. With both her parents in jail, she was forced to live with her grandmother who was very poor. Frequently they only had food two or three days a week, and she often looked sad. Her teacher, At Bunthim, spoke with Pastor Sothorn, and he invited Sreyleak to eat with his family every day. After her grandmother died, Sreyleak went to live with her aunt, but she was often absent from school and it was noticed that she had many bruises and wounds. At Bunthim had been praying for her, and went to visit her aunt explaining that she needed to love Sreyleak and treat her like her own daughter. After this things started to improve and Sreyleak is doing better in every way. She is now in grade three and is enjoying attending school again. ASAP Ministries-supported schools are making a huge difference in the lives of nearly 7,500 at-risk students. Our Growing Safe Curriculum teaches students their identity as God’s children and how to recognize and avoid unsafe behaviors and situations. Our missionary teachers take a keen interest in each of their students, and are there to help them and advocate for them when they cannot advocate for themselves. When you donate to ASAP’s Education Fund you are making it possible for children like Sreyleak to have hope and a brighter future.
GIVE:
Gift #12 Help provide education for marginalized children by giving $25 / $250 / $2,500
PRAY:
Ask God to pour out His Spirit on the children attending ASAP schools, and pray that they and their families will make 13 decisions for Christ.
Help a Growing School Seize a Providential Opportunity Countries: West Border Attached Region Funding Goal: $58,188 Enrollment at Kawthoolei Adventist School* has more than tripled in the past two years. Located on a former battleground in the conflict zone along the Thai-Myanmar border, the area surrounding the school has recently been developed to resettle internally displaced people and returning refugees. Since the February 2021 military coup that destabilized the country’s education system, the flow of people moving to the area continues to increase. The influx of families seeking an education for their children presents Kawthoolei Adventist School with a providential opportunity to expand its witness in the community. Education and health outreach to the Buddhists and animists in the area have already yielded fruit. But the school’s infrastructure cannot accommodate the demand for its services. A new chapel, girls’ dormitory, and restroom block are needed. Your gift will not only help the school expand; it will open doors to students and families whose hearts are more open to the gospel right now than they have ever been.
GIVE:
Gift #13 Build a new chapel with your gift of $200 / $2,000 / $20,000 Gift #14 Construct a new girls’ dormitory with your gift of $250 / $2,500 / $25,000 Gift #15 Provide a new restroom block with your gift of $150 / $1,500 / $15,000

PRAY:
Pray that the words of Joseph in Egypt may also be true for the people of Myanmar in the midst of their suffering: “... you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive” (Gen. 50:20, NKJV).

Uplift an At-risk Child Countries: Cambodia, Thailand, West Border Attached Region Funding Goal: $326,160 Khoem Pha was struggling academically when he enrolled at the Takong Adventist School. At 11 years of age, he could not read, write, or do math. His teacher, Sat Vanny, spent extra time tutoring him. It was difficult at first, but by the end of the school year, Khoem Pha learned how to read and moved from the bottom of the class to the top third. Khoem Pha’s Buddhist parents are thrilled with their son’s progress and the positive changes they’ve witnessed in his behavior. Now, they’ve enrolled his younger sibling at the school, too. And Khoem Pha isn’t just thriving academically, he’s also growing spiritually. He enjoys Bible class and is especially enthusiastic about prayer. Recently, he expressed that he would like to become a pastor to help people who are harassed by evil spirits. Your gift of sponsorship allows struggling children like Khoem Pha to attend ASAP mission schools, where they are transformed from marginalized to missionary!

Build a School to Bridge a Gap Country: Cambodia Initial Funding Goal: $80,000 Chanminear loved being an elementary student at Samraong Adventist School in Cambodia. She embraced learning, enjoyed singing, and eagerly participated in religious services. Her dream was to one day become an ASAP missionary. Unfortunately, with no Adventist secondary school nearby, her only option is to attend the local government school six days a week. Immersed in this environment, sadly with each day, her dream is fading. ASAP Ministries longs to keep the dreams of young people like Chanminear alive and is determined with God’s help to do something to make them a reality. Help us in building the first ASAP Adventist secondary school in Cambodia.
