Daily Box เกิดจากการตั้งคำ�ถามของศิลปินกับการใช้ชีวิต ประจำ�วันในทุกๆวัน ตั้งแต่ลืมตา ตื่นนอน กินข้าว ออกไปทำ�งาน พบปะ เพื่อนฝูง พักผ่อน จนถึงหลับตาลงนอนอีกครั้ง วิถีชีวิตประจำ�วันของเรา ต่างเกี่ยวโยงกับสิ่งของต่างๆ ซึ่งกลายมาเป็นองค์ประกอบส่วนหนึ่งของ ปัจจัย 4 ที่เรามองข้ามไป สิ่งเหล่านี้ถูกเราใช้ ผ่านการใช้งาน และถูก เปลี่ยนสถานะกลายเป็น “ขยะ” มี Life Cycle ที่สั้นมากๆ แปลผกผันกับ วงจรการย่อยสลายของตัวมันเองที่ใช้เวลาอย่างยาวนาน ศิลปินเก็บข้อมูล สะสมสิ่งของเหล่านั้นที่เกิดจากชีวิตประจำ� วันปกติเป็นเวลา 1 อาทิตย์ รวบรวมเป็น Collection และสื่อสารผ่านวิธี การทำ�งานศิลปะ เพื่อสะท้อนถึงเรื่องราวต่างๆ และตั้งถามต่อไปไม่รู้จบ (ปัจจุบันศิลปิน ลดการใช้ถุงพลาสติก บรรจุภัณฑ์ ขวดน้ำ�พลาสติก หลอด กล่องโฟม ในชีวิตประจำ�วันเป็นเวลาผ่านมา 1 ปีแล้ว) Daily box started from the artist’s question about daily life routine. Started from opening eyes, waking up, eating food, going to work, hanging out with friends, taking a break until going back to sleep again. Daily life routine is related to all the things that becomes a part of what we called the four basic human needs that we always skip looking at them. All of the things that we used and turned into “trash” and had a very short life cycle opposite to their decomposing period. The artist have been collecting all of the waste from the daily life routine for a week and collecting them as a collection and communicating through art works for reflection of story and keeps questioning. (Nowadays the artist reduced using plastic bags, packages, bottles, straws and foam boxes for a year)

Happy lungs เป็นงานศิลปะที่สามารถสูดลมหายใจได้ เสมือนจริง แม้ว่าอากาศโดยรอบเธอจะไม่ถูกสุขอนามัย แต่เธอก็สามารถ ดำ�รงชีวิตอยู่ได้ ซึ่งก็เหมือนๆกับผู้คนที่อาศัยอยู่ที่กรุงเทพนั่นเอง การก ระทำ�ที่มักง่ายของเราเป็นอันตรายต่อความสามารถในการหายใจ แต่ ความที่เธอเป็นปอดปลอมที่ทำ�ขึ้นมาจากเศษขยะ เธอจะสามารอยู่รอด ปลอดภัย Happy lungs is an art installation that could artificially fake breathing. Even though the air around her is unhealthy but she is living her life and as the rest of the people in Bangkok. Our reckless actions did to the earth is jeopardizing our ability to breath, but she has artificial fake trash lungs, she will be fine.

Unaware consumers don’t stop to consider the consequences of their actions and are unconsciously driven by desire and instant gratification. The vibrant colors and the distorted images form a metaphor that highlights the contrast between ‘happy’ life and the decay of nature from the communal waste produced by our ever-growing consumer culture. The video presents an in-between state of Utopia and the destroyed habitat.

หลังจากที่ศิลปินเห็นพื้นที่นี้ในเกสเฮ้าท์จึงทำ�ให้ตระหนักถึงความสำ�คัญ ของความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างสังคมเมืองและสิ่งแวดล้อม ต้นไม้ที่สวยงามเติบโตภายใต้สิ่ง ก่อสร้างที่มนุษย์สร้างขึ้นซึ่งขัดแย้งกับต้นไม้ที่เจริญเติบโตภายนอกพื้นที่นี้ ศิลปินเชื่อว่า ทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างสามารถอยู่ร่วมกันได้อย่างกลมกลืนกัน จึงได้ใช้อาการของการกอดคือ การท่าทางโอบล้อมต้นไม้ด้วยสีสันของLED เพื่อสื่อสารเรื่องความสัมพันธ์ของมนุษย์ และธรรมชาติ

After the artist saw the space, in the guesthouse. She realized how much important is it, the relationship between urban society and environment. The beautiful tree inside the room grows up under the roof of the human building, which is so contrasted to outside space. Accordingly, she believed that everyone could live harmoniously with nature. So she uses the verb in a hug to represent this relationship

แพขยะขนาดใหญ่แปซิฟิก (Great Pacific Garbage Patch) คือวงขยะ ขนาดใหญ่ที่ยู่กลางมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิก โดยมีขนาดใกล้เคียงกับระเทศไทย ซึ่งแพขยะ มีลักษะของการรวมตัวอย่างหนาแน่นของขยะ ทั้งพลาสติกและขยะอื่นที่ถูกพัดพามา รวมกันจากกระแสน้ำ�แปซิฟิก แม้ขนาดของแพขยะจะใหญ่มหาศาลและหนาแน่น แต่ กลับไม่สามารถเห็นได้จากดาวเทียม เนื่องจากตัวขยะทั้งหมดอยู่ใต้และใกล้ผิวน้ำ� ผลก ระทบของขยะส่งผลอย่างมากต่อสิ่งมีชีวิต ทั้งการกินเข้าสู่ร่างกายและสารพิษที่ตกข้าง จากขยะ ผลงานชิ้นนี้จึงใช้ปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในการจำ�ลองสภาพของพื้นที่ส่วนหนึ่ง จากผลกระทบของขยะ ในมุมมองใต้ทะเลที่ถูกบดบังทัศนียภาพโดยกองขยะจำ�นวน มากที่ลอยอยู่เหนือผิวน้ำ� นอกจากนี้ขยะยังทิ้งมลพิษที่ยังคงอยู่แม้จะนำ�ขยะออกจาก พื้นที่แล้วก็ตาม The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is a giant patch of soupy collection of marine debris in the central of Pacific Ocean and it covers an estimated surface area of the size of Thailand. Even satellite imagery doesn’t show a giant patch of garbage because all of the garbage is under the waters and near the surface of waters. The garbage have an affect on marine life and humans because they ingested plastic and toxic garbage directly into their bodies.

burying it. And sadly, it is none other than the images on the wasted papers that reveal our world. [This personal project of making collage series out of collected waste papers happened throughout the year in 2009. This later developed into a collage installation in 2015.]

งานกระดาษทำ�มือจากหนังสือพิมพ์ใช้ในการสื่อสารสู่เป้าหมายของTerry จาก การเมืองในชีวิตประจำ�วันของประเทศสิงคโปรอยู่ในรูปแบบของนามธรรม โดยใช้เศษกระดาษ ของข้อความจากบทความในหนังสือพิมพ์ เขากำ�ลังพยายามหาความสงบท่ามกลางความวุ่นวาย วัตถุในชีวิตประจำ�วันถูกสร้างขึ้นมาใหม่ผ่านกระบวนการทำ�กระดาษจากการตีและล้างและอัด แน่นในภายหลังไว้เป็นอนุสรณ์ถาวร Terryปรารถนาที่จะสะสมขยะการเมิองเหล่านี้ในชีวิตประจำ� วันของมนุษย์เป็นรูปแบบของการสูญเสียเวลาและประวัติศาสตร์ที่ไม่มีความหมาย The handmade paper using newspaper is to depict the Terry’s approach with everyday politics in Singapore in a form of abstraction. By reducing its text from newspaper article into fragments, he seeks peace within chaos. The everyday text/object is recreated through paper making process of beating & washing & later compact into compressed monumental tablets. Terry hopes to archive, compact or trash the everyday human politics as a form of time wasting and meaningless history.

ผูกผันเเละด้วยนิสัยส่วนตัวที่ไม่อยากให้ใช้ของแบบสิ้นเปลืองจึงเกิดการซ่อมเเซมสิ่ง ของที่เกือบจะเสียหายให้กลับมาใช้ได้ ซ้ำ�เเล้วซ้ำ�เล่า จนสิ่งของชิ้นนั้นไม่เหมือนใครใน โลก ขึ้นมาเพียงชิ้นเดียว เมื่อเป็นของเพียงชิ้นเดียว จึงเป็น rare item ที่ไม่สามารถมีใคร ทำ�ซ้ำ�ได้ และมีคุณค่าทั้งทางการใช้งาน ทางจิตใจ รวมถึงต่อโลกด้วย เมื่อของชิ้นนำ� สามารถทำ�หน้าที่ของมันได้ยาวนาน และไม่เป็นขยะต่อโลกในระยะเวลาอันสั้น ทางศิลปินจึงได้นำ�ชิ้นงานมาแสดง และสร้างพื้นที่เลียนแบบการเก็บของ มีค่าไว้ในพื้นที่ต้องห้ามเฉกเช่น ห้องที่ปกคุลมไปด้วยเส้นแสงเลเซอร์เพื่อป้องกันผู้ไม่ หวังดีมาขโมยไป

My rare item(s) is the art installation that bringing personal belongings that have a relationship with the artist and as a personal habits of the artist who didn’t want to use it for a short period then the artist started to fixing it and reusing it over and over again until it is unique. And when it is the one and only, it becomes the rare item(s) that no one can copy and also usage worthiness, spiritual worthiness and value to the earth. The artist decided to show this installation and building a simulated safety place like the room covered by laser beam security system to protect the property from the robbers.

ทุกวันนี้แม้ผลกระทบของขยะมูลฝอยและสิ่งปฏิกูลที่มีต่อสิ่งแวดล้อม ได้ถูกเปิด เผยผ่านสื่อมากมาย สภาพแวดล้อมที่ถูกทำ�ลายนั้นมีต้นเหตุมาจากพวกเรา แต่ยังไม่เป็นภัย อันตรายต่อชีวิตประจำ�วันของเรา แม้ว่าเราจะมีความกังวลต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมเป็นอย่างมาก แต่ปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมก็ยังเป็นเพียงทฤษฎี และยังจับต้องไม่ได้ แม้ว่าเราจะเห็นขยะรอบๆตัวเราทุกวัน ตามสถานที่สาธารณะต่างๆ แต่กฏ หมายว่าด้วยการทิ้งขยะในที่สาธารณะ ก็ยังไม่ผ่านการอนุมัติและไม่มีบทลงโทษ แต่ในความเป็น จริง อันตรายที่ขยะเหล่านี้มีผลต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมก็ยังเป็นเพียงกรอบความคิดที่ยากที่จะจับต้องได้ อันเนื่องมาจากการที่เรายังไม่เห็นผลกระทบทันที และยังไม่เห็นว่ามันเกี่ยวข้องกับเราอย่างไร ขณะที่คิดถึงแนวคิดข้างต้นก็ได้ตระหนักว่า ตัวเราก็เป็นต้นเหตุหนึ่งของขยะเหล่า นั้น ของต่างๆรอบตัวที่ใช้สนองความต้องการ และ เพื่อความสุขสบายประจำ�วันก็จะกลายเป็น ขยะในที่สุด และไปจบที่ผืนดินไหนสักที่ หรือ ทะเล ซึ่งเราก็ไม่มีความจำ�เป็นต้องคิดว่ามันจะไป จบที่ไหน และ มันจะไปมีผลกระทบต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมหรือไม่ อย่างไรเช่นกัน การทำ�งานชิ้นนี้ทำ�ให้ได้ตระหนักรู้ถึงความมีส่วนร่วมต่อปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อมเหล่า นี้ รวมถึงข้อชี้แนะเพื่อสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงวิธีสร้างและทำ�ลายขยะส่วนตัว และประเมินผลกระทบที่มี ต่อปัญหาสิ่งแวดล้อม Nowadays the impact of our waste to the environment is widely communicated through documentaries, TV news, images etc.; however, witnessing it through a lens seems to rather create a safety filter. We tend to distance our self from the reality of the environmental destruction we are causing and don’t fully comprehend our involvement to it. This is mainly because the effects are not so evident and detrimental to our everyday life, as yet. Although we are strongly concerned aboutour environment, still the environmental issues in a way are a rather more abstract and less tangible. Nonetheless we witness rubbish around us daily on the streets, on the public transport and public spaces. The act of littering is generally disapproved and penalised, but the reality of the harm these rubbish cause to our environment is a concept still difficult to grasp, as we can not see the immediate effect of it and how it relates to us. While I have been thinking about the above concepts and their relation, I came to the realisation that in my personal space I have also accumulated and produce waste in a daily bases. Things I have surrounded myself for my daily needs and comfort will eventually become waste and end up in one of the landfills or in the ocean. In addition in daily bases I produce waste, which I don’t necessary think where it will end up and what effect it will have to the environment. This work reflects my realisation of how much I personally contribute to the environmental problem. It is also a suggestion to the viewer to reflect the way they produce and dispose their personal wastes and evaluate their personal impact to the problem.

รูปนี้ถ่ายเมื่อปี 2016 มันเป็นฤดูร้อนที่มีอากาศร้อนจัด ฉันขี่ motorbike ไปที่โรง ย่อยขยะ ซึ่งอยู่ห่างจากบ้านฉันไป 10 ไมล์ โรงย่อยนี้เปรียบเหมือนกรงเล็บยักษ์ โดยเจ้าหน้าที่เล่าให้ฟังว่า ใน 1 วันเขาได้ขยะ 1 ตันมาจากแค่เฉพาะขยะที่มาจากเมืองเล็กๆในไต้หวันนี่เอง These photos were taken in 2016. It was a hot summer day , and I rode my motorbike to a garbage disposal plant which is 10 miles away from my house the disposal plant was just like a giant claw machine , a staff member told me that they have to collect 1 ton of garbage a day that were just from my small city in Taiwan.

ขยะพลาสติกเป็นหนึ่งปัญหาใหญ่ของโลกใบนี้ และการรีไซเคิลไม่ใช่ เรื่องไกลตัวแต่เป็นอีกหนึ่งวิธีที่จะช่วยแก้ปัญหานี้ได้ โดยเริ่มสามารถเริ่มได้จากตัวเอง และคนในครอบครัว การที่ให้ “น้องสาว” มามีส่วนร่วมในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานชิ้นนี้ นอกจากจะได้ความบริสุทธิ์จากศิลปะเด็กแล้ว ยังเป็นการปลูกจิตสำ�นึกให้ได้รู้ และ เข้าใจการรีไซเคิลมากขึ้น เพราะการรีไซเคิลไม่ใช่เรื่องไกลตัวแต่เป็นเรื่องที่ใครๆก็ทำ�ได้ Plastic pollution is one of the biggest problems in this world and recycling is not distant from us, but it’s another way to solve this problem by started with ourselves and family members. Giving “Sister” to be involved to create this installation besides getting the purity from the children’s art, also building consciousness and understanding the recycling more because recycling is not distant from us and everyone can do it.

ผลงานชิ้นนี้คือการสำ�รวจชีวิต และดินแดนใหม่ที่มนุษย์ได้สร้างไว้ ดิน แดนนี้มีขนาดประมาณ 131 ไร่ และยังคงขยายขอบเขตตลอด สิ่งมีชีวิตภายในดินแดน เหล่านั้นมีพฤติกรรม สิ่งแวดล้อม สังคมที่มีความเฉพาะตัวสูง ผลกระทบเหล่านี้เกิดขึ้น จากมนุษย์ทุกวันซ้ำ�แล้วซ้ำ�เล่า และมนุษย์น้อยคนที่จะได้สัมผัส แต่ดินแดนนี้ยังคงอยู่ และยังส่งผลกระทบต่อไปกับสิ่งแวดล้อม และสัตว์ที่อาศัยอยู่บริเวณนั้น This installation is life exploration and man made area discovery, the estimated size of this area is 131 rai or around 52 acres (and this area is still expanding all the time) Living things behavior, environment and society in this area is very unique. All of the impact happened because of human beings everyday over and over again. And a few people will experience it but this area still exists and effecting to other things on earth.
