BROADCASTERS AT ROYAL ASCOT
The five days of Royal Ascot will be viewed across the globe once again, broadcast in nearly 200 countries including America, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and Dubai. It is also being shown live for the first time in Turkey, Scandinavia, Cyprus, Portugal, the Baltics and New Zealand.
NBC Sports is back for a sixth year of Royal Ascot coverage, showcasing the event to American horse racing fans. The first four days will be streamed on Peacock, with the final day, Saturday 18th June shown live on the NBC broadcast network.
Nick Luck will return to host on NBC providing American audiences with the storylines and intricacies of the Royal Meeting.
Other international broadcasters due to be on site include Sky Thoroughbred Central and Racing.com from Australia, the Dubai Racing Channel, The Green Channel from Japan, TVG from America, as well as Equidia from France and a host of other European channels.
ITV Racing will bring all the excitement of five days of top class racing to everyone watching Royal Ascot at home in 2022. The show will once again be fronted by Ed Chamberlin and will start from 1.30pm each day with all 35 races across the week broadcast live.
The first six races from Royal Ascot will be shown on the ITV main channel each day, with the final race being screened on ITV4. The Opening Show will be on ITV4 each day from 9am-10am. All 35 races will be live on Sky Sports Racing with the on-course presentation team providing expert previews ahead of each day as well as in-depth analysis of each race. Interviews with all the winning connections will also be provided throughout the week.
Ascot is delighted to welcome Sky’s Landscape Artist Of The Year to the Royal Meeting in 2022, to film a heat for their next series, with the artists set to paint a view of the spectacular Grandstand. This year there will be a new offering available for our international channels called The Golden Hour, which will be a 60 minute live broadcast focusing on the Gold Cup on Thursday.
On the radio, 5 Live will once again cover the Royal Meeting extensively with commentary and news provided by John Hunt throughout the week. Talksport and BBC Berkshire will also be on hand to cover the meeting for radio listeners.
