ASCOT ONE OF SIX TO WIN INAUGURAL RACEHORSE SYNDICATES ASSOCIATION RACECOURSE AWARD
Ascot Racecourse has won an inaugural racecourse award for excellence in syndicate owner raceday experience.
Members of the Racehorse Syndicates Association (RSA) voted to award six courses with an award for excellence when dealing with syndicates and racing clubs.
Other courses awarded the RSA Award for recognition of providing an outstanding ownership experience for shared-ownership groups included Fontwell, Newmarket, Southwell, Uttoxeter and York.
All those awarded showed flexibility towards shared-ownership groups and provided an exceptional ownership experience for RSA members over the past 12 months.
RSA Chairman, Dan Abraham of Foxtrot Racing, said: “The Racehorse Syndicates Association are delighted to recognise those courses who have shown excellence in liaising with shared-ownership groups, including flexibility around badges, meals and paddock access.
Syndication is growing, and therefore the role of racecourses in providing an outstanding ownership experience to shared-ownership groups is vitally important to our sport.” RSA members, who represent around 8,000 syndicate owners, were invited to provide feedback on their racecourse ownership experience and it was these qualitative reviews which provided the basis for the awards.
2022 is the first year such awards have been granted and these will now take place annually.
