Sam (35) and Martyn (39) LewisEvans are both partners in life and for the last 14 months are now partners in business and what a whirlwind those 14 months have been.

Having both been in the industry for over 20 years, they have worked for some of the top hair franchises in not only Shropshire, but the country.

Sam worked for It&ly Hair Fashion, Vidal Sassoon and then for various franchises of Toni & Guy for 17 years, starting in Shrewsbury with a short stint in Telford and as a manager for the Oswestry branch for 14 years.

Martyn did his training with Francesco Group and once qualified, worked for Martanne Hairdressing. Martyn worked for the Wow franchise in Wolverhampton and then went back to his hairdressing roots to work for Francesco Group Telford, for 5 years as their Technical Director and then for 5 years as a manager at Black Orchid Salon - a premium Telford salon.

Both Martyn and Sam are Wella Master Colour Experts. They also specialise in smoothing treatments, excessively curly hair, multiple aspects of balayage techniques and Sam is an artist when it comes to wedding hair and up dos.

Salon XV offers not only one but two premium product brands being Sebastian and Maria Nila which is a Swedish brand offering cruelty free, 100% vegan and sustainable packaging. Salon XV use one of the world’s leading colour brands, Wella Hair UK.

“We were recently nominated by someone anonymous for ‘Best Salon In Shropshire’ to which our clients then voted and led to us winning, which currently makes us the Best Salon in Shropshire! We are now heading for the national title,” Sam told us.

As a Salon we aim to be as sustainable as possible. Obviously the one thing we use a lot of is water, so we have biodegradable towels and tissue products made of bamboo.

The gift bags we provide are made of either 100% recycled plastic or hessian. Our recycling seems to be more than our actual rubbish disposal!”

Salon XV offers not only a loyalty card service but also a product loyalty card.
