ANDY GRAY FIRST TEAM UPDATE
Hello again to you all and welcome back to the NFU.

Since my last notes many months ago we have been very busy on and off the field. We participated in The Don Amott Trophy at the end of what would have been last season and managed to come away from that with a bit of silverware. That was a nice little bonus to what has been a massively disappointing few seasons. We have had several pre season friendlies which have been mostly encouraging and are looking forward to the upcoming campaign. We began that last Monday with a 2-2 draw away at Chelmsley. The result was disappointing especially as their equaliser 'at the death' was a little fortuitous to say the least. On the balance of play I thought we edged it although they had chances too.
Moving on to today we have Sam Grouse back from suspension and our skipper Macka is now only a game away from returning. Several other players are only a matter of weeks away from returning from various injuries, so the squad will soon be back to full strength Finally I hope you all enjoy today's game and we'll do our best to entertain you and of course, get our first three points of the season.
