STUART BONSER CHAIRMAN'S WELCOME

Good afternoon and welcome to the NFU Sports Ground for today’s game against league leaders Atherstone Town FC and may I extend a warm welcome to all of the Players, officials and supporters of Atherstone Town FC and hope we all enjoy a good game.

May I also extend a very warm welcome to our guests from McDonalds today, Mathew and Richard are joking us to receive their framed shirt as a thank you for their kind sponsorship and support this season. The presentation will take place prior to the game and they will also be donating additional football equipment to the club today including training equipment and footballs for all of our teams to benefit from and we thank them for their generosity.

I am sure Andy and his staff will have the players ready for the challenge today and if the game follows he away tie then we are all in for a great example of non league football again.

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Ian Irving our groundsman, who has been working tirelessly as always to get the pitch ready. It is people like Ian that make a club work behind the scenes and his job is a real challenge at times in maintaining and preparing pitches for our teams to play on and all in all he invests around 20-25 hours a week as a volunteer and on behalf of the club I would like say we are truly grateful Ian and thank you.

All that remains is to wish the players well today and hope you all enjoy the game.

Ps – if you are visiting the ground by car please DO NOT OBSTRUCT the junction to Cambrian Way by parking on the grass/ path verge as this is both dangerous and you could get a fixed penalty notice from the Council and or Police.
