CHAIRMAN'S WELCOME

Good evening and welcome to the NFU Sports ground for tonight’s game against our opponents Coventry Copsewood and may I extend a warm welcome to the players, officials and supporters of Coventry Copsewood and hope we all enjoy a good game.

May I remind you all here tonight of the COVID Rules that are marked around the ground and please ensure that you are following the instructions accordingly and when entering the clubhouse/ marquee, you must wear a mask until seated and all service within these 2 areas is table service only so please wave your flag and a member of staff will serve you.

Last Saturdays game v Stapenhill saw the team back to winning ways and a good al round performance saw them run out 3-1 winners in the end.

The Knights have started well under Anthony too despite the loss last Saturday against Sileby, we still have to remind ourselves that the team are playing against mainly first teams in the Premier Division of the Senior league and that we are in effect a reserve side. I know that doesn’t matter to the players as they are good enough to compete and win games as they have shown and it is a reminder of how far we have come as a club.

This Saturday sees the first team travel away in the FA Vase and I am sure they are all looking forward to the trip as much as we all look forward to the FA Vase competitions and lets hope we put ourselves into the next round and go on a nice run in the competition.

All that remains is to wish the team luck tonight and thank you all for your continued support it really does make a difference to the players and the club and we all appreciate it.

Ps – if you are visiting the ground by car please DO NOT OBSTRUCT the junction to Cambrian Way by parking on the grass/path verge as this is both dangerous and you could get a fixed penalty notice from the Council and or Police.
