The happiest days of my son’s school life have been at Ashfield College. The teachers are wonderful. They know each student personally and encourage them to reach their full potential. The atmosphere at Ashfield is very different to a traditional school. The teachers, support staff and students are a team. My son has been made to feel he is part of this team, all of whom are working with him to get the results he wants. Going out of their way to assist students is the norm for the teachers at Ashfield College. Naomi Mahon, Mother of Patrick Mahon, 6th Year 2010/2011

EXTRA SUBJECTS Ashfield College offers students the opportunity to study an ‘extra’ subject that they may not have studied previously. This option is also available to external students. The extra subject allows students the opportunity to study a subject that holds
particular interest for them and, furthermore, offers valuable options when it comes to CAO points. Extra Subjects are scheduled from 16:30 - 18.30, twice weekly. All Extra subjects offered by Ashfield College will cover the entire Leaving Certificate syllabus within the academic year by delivering 4 hours tuition per subject per week. External Students studying an Extra Subject may sit their Leaving Certificate Exam at Ashfield College, which is recognised by the State Examinations Committee as a Registered Examination Centre. INTENSIVE REVISION AND ORAL PREPARATION COURSES Strategically offered at Christmas, Easter and in May for both the Junior and Leaving Certificates, the focus is on subject-specific exam preparation. Each 5 hour session covers the core syllabus and focuses on exam questions and works through solutions, enabling students to apply their knowledge to the exam paper effectively. Ashfield College is renowned for excellent class notes, which are invaluable for students when structuring their study in the lead up to the exams.
At Ashfield College we limit our class sizes to a maximum of 25 students, and offer a friendly and informal learning environment, encouraging students to interact fully within the class and to ask questions leading to a fuller understanding the subject. We offer a full programme of Leaving Certificate subjects and the core subjects at Junior Certificate Level. Timetables and costs will be uploaded on www.ashfieldcollege.ie a minimum of 6 weeks prior to each session.
“I found Ashfield College to be very good and the teachers extremely helpful. The things that helped me the most were the small class sizes and the teachers being so helpful – always giving up their time for one-to-one teaching if asked”
