Canada Express Entry Program 2015- Updates
Canada has surprised immigrants in waiting again by launching a fabulous scheme to fuel the skilled labor pool of the country. Over the years, the immigrants have made great contributions in the development of the economy of the Maple leaf country; and the authorities also realize this fact well. To continue harnessing the potential migrants present, the authorities have always worked in direction of offering easy access to the qualified migrants.
Latest initiatives, in form of Express Entry 2015, are a move in the same direction and tend to invite requests from the willing migrants – who have required skills, qualifications and exposure – with intentions of settling down in the country; and enriching the labor pools of the country and contributing to the productivity of the country’s economy.
The new skilled immigration Program – 2015 Express Entry has helped the Canadian government to bring about a sea change in the way the skills migration system of this country work. Till the advent of this year, various schemes – aimed at fulfilling the gaps in the structural deficit of expertise in the local labor pools – had become a butt of jokes; as many pursuers and observes had stopped taking immigration to the Maple leaf country seriously.
Past few years were marked by frequent rollovers and changes in policies, as the government went through a tedious process of finding some practical ways that could provide a long term solution to address multiple issues concerned with finding and allowing entry to the immigrants deemed essential for the country’s labor pool. The priorities were clearly marked out as: • Addressing the issue of rising demands for skilled workers in various sectors of an expanding economy; • Retaining the existing workforce so as to retain share of valuable overseas expertise;
• Finding immediate and longer lasting replacements for the ageing workforce; • Creating and raising a quality labor pool to ensure that country’s economy is not able to retain its competitiveness but also match the future aspirations. Since its inception, Express Entry has been working fine and generating an immense interest among the suitors and enthusiasts of Canadian immigration schemes. In the last 6 months, 41218 legible profiles have been lodged in the pool, out of which Canadian government has selected 12928 applications in 13 draws. This performance can be rated as fairly good considering the past reputation of sluggish CIC functioning.
The latest Updates On Express Entry clearly indicate certain important facts – that clearly highlight positive sentiments in the current format of skilled immigration program. The selection threshold marks – though in the initial rounds selection threshold hovered between 750-900 – have been consistently reducing with the last round – conducted on July 17, 2015 – had a cut-off score of only 451 marks.
This specific round resulted in short listing of 1581 applications; minimum threshold points are decreasing while number of invites rising with every short listing round. The CIC has instructed the selected applicants to comply with the sixty day deadline of submitting the second set of applications. One thing that may be considered to be worth making of note is that all the applications selected till date did not have any job offers attached to them – a matter of respite for the apprehensive applicants indeed.
There is more good news from The Express Entry Program 2015 Updates; 698 applications selected for the permanent residence received sponsorships from willing Canadian states through PNPs; Canadian provinces have been consistently participating in the EE scheme since the institutionalization of this revolutionary scheme in January this year.
The things are looking bright on the Canadian horizons as CIC pitches in more and more selection rounds through the Express Entry Program - 2015. Resource: http://newsflavor.com/world/express-entry-program-2015-updates
