In 2021, Ashland partnered with the SM Sehgal Foundation on a STEM education program focused on small holding farmers in the Sriganganagar district of Rajasthan, India; using sustainable agronomic practices and water conservation, they increased annual guar harvests while respecting sourcing relationships and cultures of local villages; in the end, farmers lowered production cost and increased crop yield by about 30 percent which expanded the local villages’ economies
