mind, body, and soul

Sensory children need rhythm and a plan to help support their mind, body, and soul. By helping your child create a practical daily plan that flows in rhythm, you can empower and equip your child to calm themselves, or alert themselves when appropriate. Young Living essential oils are a wonderful added tool to incorporate into your daily plan. Whether you are using one single oil to help alert the mind and bring focus, or a blend of oils to calm the senses and center the body, essential oils can be a powerful tool for a child needing extra support.

Oils in daily life; A tiny bodies sense of movement *Vestibular movements such as flipping, climbing, spinning are very alerting to the body's system *Sensory seeking is sought out by my son. This can often go too far. *Use calming oils (see next page) when vestibular activities are first sought out. *Consider using alerting and focusing oils (see next page) when the activity has gone too far.

Sensory seeking children tend to overindulge in vestibular movements, thereby overloading their senses. Using oils can help focus the senses, and empower the child to find calmness and center.

Oils in daily life; A tiny bodies sense of spacial surroundings

*Proreoreceptive activities empower the body to know where it is in relation to its surrounding space. *This can be done by doing a deep pressure massage focusing on muscles and joints, Wilbarger protocol (DTTP), and the use of weighted blankets. This helps organize the central nervous system. *Paired with a massage and lavender lotion, while diffusing calming oils, or following an Epsom salt or bubble bath with Lavender and Copiaba, the body can become regulated and calmer.Â
