fall ‘12covermodel Between her summer job, preparing for her senior year on the varsity cheerleading team, and being on the yearbook staff, Kelsey’s senior year is shaping up to be a fun but busy one! The advice she has to give incoming freshmen? “Be involved in everything you possibly can and never let your fears get in your way.” Her favortie memory from high school so far was all of the team spirit her school, Socastee High School had during last year’s winning football season. Her reason for getting senior pictures? “I’m trying to capture every memory that I possibly can and pictures are the best way to do that.”

theexperience Your senior portrait experience should be about more than just pictures. It should be about you. About your friends. About who you are. And it should be something to experience with your friends. Because who knows you better than your friends? Who makes your senior year what it is other than your friends? That’s why your senior portrait experience really is an experience. More than just pictures. It’s an opportunity to hang out with your closest friends. To be pampered. To have the model experience together. To laugh and have fun. Your senior portrait experience starts with makeup for you and your two closest friends and ends with incredible portraits. For the first outfit we always go with something that is true to you and you feel amazing in!
The second outfit is something a little dressier to add some glam and variety to your session!

DRESS TO IMPRESS! We recommend 3 outfit changes during your session. Three gives you a great variety of images but keeps your session from going too long. The three outfits we recommend are: 1) An outfit that is true to your style. Come in your session dressed in this outfit! 2) A dressier outfit. 3)An outfit in Fine Art colors. Fine Art colors are muted tones of brown, pink, cream, muave, and blue. They are classic, timeless, and let the focus be all about you. Some Pointers: 1) Accecories can make a break an outfit and that is doubly true for a photoshoot. Bring any accessories you love including hats, scarves, glasses, belts, jewlery, and shoes. 2) Details matter! Remember you will have professional makeup application on location, but don’t forget the rest of the details: *Spend extra time with your hair or go the extra mile and have a professional blowout. *Same is true for nails. Make sure they look good! *Make sure eyebrows are done!

The day of your shoot, show up about 10 minutes early. Just plan it into your drive. Early is better than being late! Your day starts with makeup and then an amazing time with friends.

Within two weeks of your photoshoot you will recieve your preview slideshow. Watch it as many times as you’d like but keep in mind it will only be up for 3 days!

hair Don’t get a new haircut before your session. If you want to try something new, be sure to book your session out quite a bit to avoid any unwanted style that will be forever seen in your senior portraits. We recommend having hair professionally blown out and styled by a stylist for a polished look.

makeup Professional makeup application is included with your session. This gives you a chance to reax and look your best. Applying makeup for the camera is different than normal application and a professional will make sure you look your best! Nails should be clean and free from chipped polish. Getting your nails done with your friends before your session can be a fun extra!

Drink plenty of water and stay out of the sun a few days before your session. Red skin is not easy to deal with; sunburned and peeling skin is even worse. We can take care of most blimishes during editing, but want to make sure you take care of your skin with a good cleaning regimine each morning and night.
Play sports? Dance? Have a music hobby? Here’s your chance to shine with incorporating those into your portraits. Bring anything along with you that you think you’d want to see used in your photos. If you do have any props they will count as an additional fourth outfit. Make sure you plan extra time for it!

chooseanoption All of our collections are flat-rate and simple. And they all include your digital files because we know that it’s important to you to have them. A $100 session fee is due at the time of booking. The session fee covers the time and talent of the photographer and makeup for you and up to two of your closest friends. After your senior experience, you will recieve a slideshow preivew that will be live for 3 days. Watch your preview and then choose your package. It’s as simple as that.

bookyoursession Are you ready to start your senior portrait experience now? Go to www.ashleighwadephotography.com/contact and select “ready to book” or send and e-mail to ashleigh@ashleighwadephotography.com. Your session deposit can be paid via PayPal. Once your deposit is paid, we can schedule your senior portrait experience! We typically book our sessions on Saturday mornings (or Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the summer) at 9:30 am. This gives time for makeup application and plenty of beautiful light that will make your model experience shine. In the event that the weather is bad, we’ll check in approximately two hours prior to your session to make a call. Either we can go ahead and shoot if you’re willing to work around some light rain, or, we can use your rain day appointment, which is one week after your main appointment. Please note that all collection orders must be paid in whole before items may be released from our studio. Don’t forget about our referral bonus! If a friend books and mentions you by name, you will recieve a $25 visa gift card in the mail as a thank you from us!
