Becoming a parent is truly the most important and rewarding job you will ever have! Enjoy them while they are small, they don’t stay that way for long. I know this as I am a dad of 5 (see the little monkeys below) and it truly is a blessing. They keep me busy and I love documenting every moment with them. I enjoy replicating this and capturing spe- cial memories for parents to trea- sure for a lifetime. I pride myself on creating timeless memories and only the best products for you to have these at there best on dis- play in your home.
Im an award winning newborn and children photographer and have been on specialist training in the art of newborn posing and safety, safety is always paramount in my studio and your baby will never be put in harms way, or posed in a position that I have not been trained to do safely. I am fully insured and registered with the Guild of Photographers and the BANPAS (Baby and Newborn Photography Association).
The tinest things.. As a newborn photographer, I strive to capture those first few weeks and turn the resulting images into a work of fine art to be treasured forever. Newborn photography requires a large amount of planning and an insane amount of patience, and you’ll be happy to know I am good at both :)

PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION WHAT TO
EXPECT
Once you have booked your session with me I will diarise your due date to ensure your new arrival can be photographed between 5 and 15 days regardless of whether they arrive early or late, it’s very rare they arrive on their due date! I recomend that baby is kept awake for 1 hour prior to the session (preferrably longer), bath time, and stimulated play work well, try to time feed’s so that baby is due a feed on arrival, they will be having plenty when they.are in the session to keep them nice and sleepy. Make sure you have snacks and reading material, plenty of refreshments will be provided. You will need to bring extra milk as baby will feed more than usual. A dummy is good but not essential. I know that recovery can be slow and painful. Some of my client’s send baby to the Studio with Dad or I come to you, depending on how you feel and how your birth went.

DURING YOUR SESSION Once you arrive I will give you some time in my studio to feed and sooth your baby.I start my sessions by taking some portraits of your baby on a beanbag. After that we will move on to some relationship poses with Mom, Dad and Siblings after which I will move on to photographing your newborn in the props that you have chosen. Before you leave, I will ask you to sign a model release to promote my business without compensation.
AFTER YOUR SESSION Now you can go home and relax and dream about all the beautiful images that will soon be yours. I go through the images from your session and select the best. Once I have the “final cut� selected I meticulously edit each individual picture to correct any blemishes. I will provide a usage license so that you can print your images at the lab of your choice without any hassle. Your images will be ready for delivery within two weeks. You now have wonderful, precious images to remind you of the innocence of your newborn, and you have documented in a beautiful, meaningful way what those first few days of life were like. BLISS!
NEWBORN SESSION CHECKLIST I have a huge array of hats, headbands, blankets and props for you to choose from, if you do have something special then please do bring it along. If the session is at your home the environment will need to be warm for baby as they will have their clothes off for long periods of time. I keep the studio toasty warm, for your own comfort I recommend layers and leightweight clothing and please be assured I will have refreshments on hand to keep you hydrated, which is especialy important for nursing mothers. Try to have atleast one other person there with you during the shoot to help.Sessions can often get long and tiring for all involved. If baby has a dummy, please do bring it along as this can help with soothing.
