Coalesce Vteran Communty INSTITUTIONAL
Concept Coalesce means to come together or to unite so as to form one mass, community. Chihuly garden and glass located in the city of Seatle inspired the space. The process of blowing glass is tedious and the glass undergoes an enormous amount of stress. At the end of the process, glass is taken to an annealing oven to cool down slowly to avoid breaking due to rapid environment changes. This idea of a transiion space that removes the internal stresses and strengthens the glass, embodies the sole purpose of Coalesce Veteran Community.

RESTAURANT AND BAR Through the lobby, a discrete speakeasy style entrance opens to Stacks bar. The space is designed in respect to Eighteenth-century libraries originally known as stacks. Heavy casework lined with collectable books relects architectural elements of Gilded Age bars and studies. The restaurant is inspired by the irst freemasonry pocket watch created by William Wallace Dudley. The Dudley’s sophisicated atmosphere is designed through the use of muted inishes, durable leather booth upholstery, and gold detail on mirror frames and ixtures. The wooden molding and golden chair back details implemented mirror an intricate pocket watch.

Concept At the core of both buildings are structural elements supporing exising condiions. Similar to the interior structure of a building, CAAD’s core values keep the college united. The industrial elements of the CAAD Buildings were inspired by the idea of what purpose structural building elements serve. The newly designed space relects the idea of structure and strength in community. Structural beams are exposed throughout the space. The use of lines is repeated throughout the space to represent the grid-like network and collaboraion between departments.

ABOUT The College of Architecture Art and Design at MSU is looking to expand two exising buildings on campus to accommodate the needs of the college. Designers were tasked with space planning for both buildings and developing one area three dimensionally to represent the college community. Through a series of interviews, emails, and other correspondence, all programming informaion was gathered to develop a design soluion. Research of current educaion trends, corporate oice spaces, and other insituions served as a foundaion for project development. Project complies with IBC 2018 and ADA codes.

AVA Primary Care Clinic MEDICAL
Concept Ava is derived from the Hebrew origin name Eve. The primary care clinic captures “the mother of all living” ambiance through appreciaion of beneits humans receive through coexising and uilizing resources of the natural earth. Ava appreciates the history of natural medicine and inds inspiraion in herbal Apothecaries. Sot organic inishes and an earth toned color palete allows the clinic to embody a spa-like feel to create a sense of “home-fullness”. The design eiciently integrates new technology to allow a seamless paient experience, while the loorplan highlights perimeter circulaion with an emphasis on natural daylight.
The Project ABOUT IIDA tasked designers with space planning and design of a primary care clinic located on the fourteenth loor of an exising Hospital building. Soluions include a parial and full renovaion in which at least half of the products are OFS and Carolina. A more efficient and seamless paient experience is created through architecture and thoughul design. Hints of hospitality and spa like design are instrumental in creaing a sense of “homefullness” and well-being in the clinic. The essenial factors of Paient Choice, Posiive Distracions, and a Connecion to Nature are used to create a holisic and harmonious environment for both paients and employees.
