This design project for Revolution Mill in Greensboro, North Carolina. The objective was to create a brew pub which included designing the graphics, what food was ser ved, and the layout of the space.
During this project I was experimenting with creating families and adding parameters for texture and size. I discovered many ways to create one thing and which way would be fastest. To improve my Revit use I took a self directed course as well as edited other families I found online to explore how families work.

This plan called for chairs with many different heights. Creating furniture with specific parameters which can be changed to create the different sized chairs helped save time so I would not have to make separate families.

Union Station is a historical train station in Winston Salem, North Carolina. It was turned into a storage unit for the city, but there are plans for renovation to bring it back to its former glory. I worked with an AutoDesk program, Recap, to capture the space as a point cloud using LiDAR technology. With this program I was able to take measurements in areas where we would not have been able reach and capture the space in 3D. In Revit I have modeled and performed a digital restoration of the main lobby and the front exterior with an eye for extreme detail and accurate materials.
Specific Formula
Using this Line based model I was able to create a molding with specific details that you would not be able to create using a regular Sweep profile.
This is just a regular profile sweep that is then added to the Line based model.
Two families: The one the left is a Line based model and the one on the right is a generic model. They come together to create the image below.
Not only did I use Recap, I also used the original floorplans and old pictures of the building to locate changes that may have occurred over the years.
