r e y a r P : 1 p e t S For the six weeks of the programme, try making it a retreat in your daily life by: Devoting just three to five minutes at the start of the day in prayer. It can be as simple as just asking God to be with you that day; inviting God to open your eyes to the wonder and the worries of the world around you During the day, taking time at various points of the day to notice; not necessarily to make judgements on things but to allow yourself to be present to your own life. Try to slow down to a pace that allows for you to notice things and people and how you are in your own heart and head. At the end of the day; try to give a little bit more time to the prayer at the end of the day. About 15 minutes! Use this prayer moment to reflect (maybe using scripture but you don’t necessarily have to) on the day. You can do this in the following very easy steps and it doesn’t take that long. (See handout).

"The Examen-ed Life" "The Word of God is very near to you, it is in your mouth and in your heart for your observance. See, today I set before you life and prosperity, death and disaster... Choose life." Deuteronomy 30:14, 15, 19 Archdi

.. .. e c n e r e f if d a h it W . .. Step 2: Journaling.. “A journal is a record of your thoughts, experiences, and observations”. Traditionally, a journal is a written piece but for the purposes of JustFaith we’d suggest the following: Video recording that can be Facebooked, blogged, put up on icatholic.ie etc. For this reason, it’s suggested that it be in the style of an ‘honest commentary’ as opposed to a more ‘confessional’ piece Key questions that you might explore to camera include: How am I now with ‘JustFaith’? How is my understanding of my faith and God changing? How is this changing me in terms of my understanding of the world? What direction is it bringing me in my life? To what am I being called? How is God challenging me?
