Abbott, first established in Ireland in 1946, now has 11 sites across the country, including six manufacturing plants. Since 2005, Abbott has invested almost €500m in its operations in Ireland. Abbott employs almost 3,000 people across 11 Irish sites, with six manufacturing facilities, located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford and Sligo and a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. It also has commercial and support operations in Dublin. Abbott serves the Irish market with a diverse range of healthcare products including diagnostics, medical devices and nutritionals.
