Hola! My name is Digna. I am 5 years old. Hola is “Hello� in Spanish. In Honduras we speak Spanish. I live in the Community of La Confianza, in Honduras. Here everyone works together to get all the work in the community done. I really like being a part of La Confianza.

My favourite job is sweeping the floor in front of our tent. I try to sweep up all the bits of dirt on the ground. The brush is made from branches we gathered and tied together.

• We are going to make a brush for the classroom. • We need to get the materials. • We are going to go for a nature walk around our school. • We will collect twigs that we think would be good to brush with.

• Put all twigs together and count out the first ten sticks in Spanish. • Tie them to the end of the stick using a piece of rope. • Test the brush to see if it is staying togethet. If not, tighten it.
3 P E ST • Would it be better to use the brush outside or inside? • Sweep and brush up any messy areas.
