To the Ashworth Farm & Ranch 20th Bull Sale. A BIG thank you to all who have supported us over the last 19 sales. Looking back at the buyers list from our first sale in Regina in March 2004, nearly 50% of the buyers that day are still good customers and friends today. 2004 was the first sale season following the discovery of BSE and probably not the best year to start a sale; we averaged less than $3000 that day and didn’t sell any where’s near all the bulls. At that time we didn’t think it was all that bad for a first sale under those circumstances, but realized we had some work to do in order for the sale to evolve and grow. Our first three sales were in Regina at the Canada Centre and commercial barn; in 2007 we moved to the Optimum Genetics Sale facility south of Regina where we were for five years. In 2012 we made our final move, hosting the sale at home in our new sale facility. This has proven to be a big improvement for all. For 2023 our sale offering is slightly larger than in the past with quality running deep in both the Red and Black divisions. You will find some new pedigrees with sons of Spring Creek Estate, WFL Overload HPF Right to Love (Cholo), KWA North State, KWA International and Westgold 007, as well as quality sons of our proven walking and AI Sires. From performance to calving ease, you will find options in both the Red and Black categories, all backed by productive cows that are bred to produce herd bulls. All bulls who are 12 months of age and older at the time of semen testing, will be semen tested. All others will be palpated and scrotal measured. All will sell fully guaranteed. I always need to take time to thank all who are responsible for the day to day activities on the farm and making sure things are getting done.
