SOME OF OUR WORK ANGRY BIRDS The Thai franchisee for Angry Birds fruit juices and soft drinks required an impactful on-shelf presence, yet a design that conformed strictly to the rules of the brand owner, Rovio from Finland. Pack sizes and materials varied significantly – 140ml and 200ml cans, 200ml tetra packs and pyramid packs, all in three flavors – and it was important to liaise at every stage of the design development with both Rovio and with Malee, the product suppliers in Thailand.

FAH SAI This newly Thai established company has developed Coconut Crispy Rolls with plans to market the product both in Thailand and Europe; a brand logo and pack design were required. This natural and memorable logo, in both Thai and English, is supported by an elegant pack design with clean and simple lines that makes good use of “white color”. Full use of color matching and retouching for the collated images creates striking visuals of the products and their ingredients.

BALUNG TEA Nestled in the Borneo rainforest, the Balung River plantation is home to a host of pure organic foods and beverages including the plant leaves from which this Malaysian company produces its range of herbal drinks. Their popularity has led to a retail market launch and this design uses themes that reinforce the natural, healthy imagery of the product. Stunning photographic imagery of each product’s main ingredient source on the front and detailed montages on the back combine with clear and concise descriptors to produce a high quality and effective pack design.

YUMMIX This brand new product required naming, logo development and pack design. The name reflects the unique pack format and the product’s high taste values whilst the pack design itself incorporates high quality photographic imagery, using in-house photographic facilities, and clear, impactful graphics. Limited print areas, together with the need for nutritional and ingredients information in two languages presented particular challenges, skillfully overcome.

“CARRIE” PERFUME A major French perfume house required a new house brand name, logo design and packaging design to support the launch of “Carrie” perfume – named for the famous star of the “Sex in the City” hit TV series. “The French Perfumer” succinctly epitomizes the company and its industry, while this stunning design for both the bottle and the box perfectly personifies the TV star.

SLIMILK The launch of two new savory milk drinks with healthy ingredients that include brown rice, kidney beans and sesame seeds, required a new logo and pack design. These elegant packs make great use of “white space”, a feature of the milk products market, and feature quality photographic montages of the ingredients.

FIGHT LIFE The company offers a range of high performance supplements aimed at providing a boost to fitness workouts; they now wish to broaden the product’s appeal and offer it through mainstream retail outlets as well as through traditional sport outlets. The regenerated logo has greater clarity and a more modern look and the pack designs make stronger use of the color coding for the individual lines, to give brighter and friendlier appeal. Creative “engineering” led to the development of a unique eye-catching and sturdy capsule dispenser.

ROACH KILL The Australian manufacturer of this roach deterrent required a pack that would be instantly recognizable and have high standout on shelf. We created the format for the revolutionary gel propellant and the graphic designs for both the gel propellant and the sleeve. The highly graphic “targeted kill” image leaves no doubt about the product’s purpose and the bright colors are impactful and redolent of the industry. Given the nature of the product, legal requirements for usage instructions are strict, and demanded great attention to detail.
