Long since a gateway to India, Delhi is a destination in its own right with a host of modern attractions to complement the historic. Just steps from the bustling streets, Aman New Delhi provides an essential respite in spacious surrounds, offering guests the ideal base from which to explore the city’s many diverse charms.
The subtly lit arrival lounge and reception area set the tone for the rest of the resort in terms of dĂŠcor and ambience. Lofty ceilings and a neutral palette emphasize the abundance of space while cool glass and stone contrast with the warmth of rich fabrics and wood to create a harmonious sense of restrained luxury.
Rough and smooth Gangapur stone, intricate jaali screens and an elegance of space imbue Aman New Delhi with a sense of sophisticated calm. On arrival guests are welcomed into a serene Aman world, simultaneously apart from, yet also an intrinsic part of, the vibrant capital it inhabits.
The Cigar Lounge ( top right ) is a masculine haven of leather arm chairs, the world’s finest spirits and, of course, an extensive selection of premium cigars. The Library is another venue for quiet contemplation.
OUR SUITES Every detail of our spacious Rooms and Suites contributes to their effortless sense of tranquility and timelessness.
Unique in a multi-storey resort, all of the Aman Rooms and Suites feature private plunge pools. All 31 Aman Rooms and eight Aman Suites are housed in a dramatic nine-storey structure, offering exceptional views over the city and terraces dappled with sunlight streaming through decorative jaali screens. Designed to provide privacy and escape, all Rooms and Suites are inspired by the North Indian aesthetic with olive-hued khareda stone underfoot, handmade rugs in muted earthy tones and dark wooden panels accentuated by discreet lighting.
In addition, a five-storey structure overlooking a manicured courtyard houses 28 one-, two- and three-bedroom Lodhi Suites. Lodhi Suites are of varying sizes and configurations, each complete with an inviting outdoor terrace, generous bedrooms, spacious bathrooms, lounge areas, separate dressing rooms and a galley kitchen.
Every Lodhi Suite has a roomy living room with rich wooden panelling and a state-of-the-art entertainment system. The dining and lounge area comfortably accommodates six people, while adjacent to the dining area is a pantry from which the butler provides service to the Suite. Fourteen of the Lodhi Suites offer private pools.

OUR SPA Blending traditional Indian healing techniques with soothing modern therapies, our Aman Spa is a sanctuary of well-being and relaxation.
The Aman Spa is a serene destination unto itself, featuring eight private treatment rooms each with private shower, steam room, bathtub, vanity and daybed. The extensive spa menu offers pampering spa rituals for men and women, drawing on India’s wealth of therapeutic traditions dating back thousands of years. A signature treatment is Shirodara (right ), in which warm blended oil is poured in a continuous flow directly onto the forehead, said to improve circulation and boost vitality. A beauty salon provides manicures, pedicures and waxing while services at the kimrobinson hair salon include innovative styling concepts and hair spa treatments.
The Aman Spa also features two traditional hammam steam baths where guests can rejuvenate with pampering bath and body scrub rituals. The spa’s relaxation lounges are ideal for taking a moment before or after a treatment, browsing the selection of reading material on offer and sipping herbal tea.
Set in a sunken courtyard is a 50-metre swimming pool and the Pool Bar where light meals are served throughout the day. Other sports facilities include tennis and squash courts, as well as a fullyequipped Gymnasium staffed with personal trainers.
Guests can also enjoy private or group classes in Aman New Delhi’s Pilates Studio, fully equipped with reformers. Professional instructors offer both mat-work and allegro Pilates classes.
Delhi abounds with magnificent historical monuments, colourful markets and vibrant shopping districts. The 17th-century city of Old Delhi is a maze of narrow lanes bustling with spice merchants, silver smiths and street-food vendors around the awe-inspiring Red Fort ( top centre ) and Jama Masjid Mosque. Humayan’s Tomb is another example, built in 1562 in a beautiful garden complex ( below ). The 100-acre Mehrauli Archaeological Park ( left ) boasts multiple impressive structures adjacent to the World Heritage Site of Qutab Minar, while India Gate is a more modern symbol of India. And this is just the start.
