SKID PLATE

The skid plate consists of a 2.5 mm thick aluminum plate with excellent strength and corrosion resistance. It is designed to protect the motorcycle parts located around and below the engine like the oil filter or the exhaust pipes, and shaped to fit perfectly with the engine guard for a more compact and resistant appearance. • To install the Skid Plate, Eng Guard(08P73MLC-D00) and Gard ATT(08P74-MLC-D00) are required. During the 2019 Gibraltar Race, a 7,000-km all-terrain rally from Baltic Sea to Atlantic Ocean, Renato Zocchi steered an X-ADV to the Class 2 victory. The rider put also himself as seventh overall in the event, beating out the competition of purpose-built dirt bikes and adventure tourers. While his X-ADV was specially prepared with extra wheel travel and ground clearance, Zocchi kept the footboards and drove its DCT version on Gravel mode.

Do you really need a left lever to enjoy riding?

The Dual Clutch Transmission made its worldwide debuts for motorbikes in 2010 with the Honda VFR 1200. Now entering its 3rd generation and downsized to suit mid-displacement bikes, the DCT is completely different from the belt-type transmissions used by most scooters: it is structurally a conventional 6-speed gear ratio transmission, yet electronically controlled when changing speeds. Keep the fun of a manual transmission; enjoy the comfort of an automatic one!
