What Is Neck Strain? Neck strain occurs when one or more fibers or tendons in the neck muscles are overstretched and tear. It is a type of injury that is also called a pulled muscle. Its intensity depends on the size and location of the fiber damage. The neck strain gets better on its own within a few days or weeks. The pain of the neck strain can be mild to severe.

Grade Of Neck Strain

• A strain or tear in certain fibers of the neck muscles is classified as grade one. •At the same time, when 90% of the muscle fibers are stretched, it is kept in grade-2 injury. •When the neck muscle has completely ruptured, it is classified as Grade 3. •However, it does not occur in the neck and is not referred to as a neck strain. What Are The Symptoms Of Neck Strain? The symptoms of neck strain are pain and decreased

Causes Of Neck Strain  An injury to the neck can lead to a strain. This type of injury     

often results when the head is pulled backward (hyperextension) or forward when trauma occurs. Injury from rotation and compression can lead to neck strain and soft tissue injury. In-car accidents, people often have their heads turned either forward or backward, which causes strain on their neck. In a common situation, when a person wearing a seat belt constantly keeps the neck forward or backward, it causes neck strain. Pressure from one side can cause the neck to twist on the other side, and in rare cases, the neck is pulled back. Any such movement causes strain on the neck. People working in the office by bending their neck or backward get strain in their neck. Sitting with poor posture also causes the problem of neck strain.
