Chief Secretary’s newsletter”, it was reported that “the bridges may not be here in time for carnival activities in 2016”, therefore, a temporary bridge was installed. Approximately three million dollars ($3M) was paid for the bridge that is yet to be installed. a).

what is the status of the bridge that was procured;

b).

who is the temporary bridge currently installed rented/leased from; and

c).

how much has already been paid on the bridge currently being used?

EDUCATION, INNOVATION AND ENERGY (By the Minority Leader) In a January 26 2017 interview, the Chief Secretary indicated that he did not have a crime plan for Tobago, and that “security is a Central Government issue”. Tobago has recorded twelve (12) murders (as at December 6 2017), and ACP Moore stated in September 2017 that murders had increased by 200% (with eight (8) murders at that time). What is the Crime Plan for Tobago? th

* QUESTION NO. 26 TO THE CHIEF SECRETARY AND SECRETARY OF EDUCATION, INNOVATION AND ENERGY (By the Minority Leader) How much money has been spent on the Milshirv Building (at the corner of the Claude Noel Highway and Shirvan Road) since the Tobago House of Assembly commenced paying a lease for the property?

QUESTION NO. 27 TO THE SECRETARY OF CHIEF SECRETARY AND SECRETARY OF EDUCATION, INNOVATION AND ENERGY (By the Member for Parlatuvier/L’Anse Fourmi/Speyside) The woes faced by Tobagonians with the inter-island Ferry Service continues for the foreseeable future with the Central Government rejecting the latest tendering process conducted by the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. Can the Chief Secretary provide details of actions taken by himself and or the Executive Council in an effort to get the Central Government to ease the inter-island transportation pains of Tobagonians?

* QUESTION NO. 30 TO THE SECRETARY OF FOOD PRODUCTION, FORESTRY AND FISHERIES (By the Minority Councillor) With respect to the Board of the Tobago Cassava Products Limited, please provide the following information.

(a) why was the current Chairperson, Ms. Pathleen Titus removed as Chairperson in March 2017? Specifically outline the number of allegations brought against her, whether those issues were investigated and resolved; (b) given that Ms. Titus was Chairman of the Board from 2013 to 2017 (outside of the March to November 2017 period), please provide an outline of Ms. Titus’ track 5


record, including the number of new farmers recruited/contracted to provide Cassava to the company, the total acreage under cassava production for the company, the process that has been put in place to assure quality of products, and the amount of revenue brought in by the TCPL under her tenure; and (c) please identify the names and positions of the new Board of Directors as of December 1 2017. st
