Mindfulness Meditation
Wanted: Students in Transition Seminar Instructors The SAS Transfer Center is in need of volunteer instructors for the Student in Transition (STS) seminars during Fall 2013. There are many sections available at all times of the day and evening on all campuses and sections can be created to fit the schedules of instructors. Training is provided for all instructors and supervision can be provided for graduate students if desired. The syllabus and curriculum are standard and the vast majority of resources for each lesson are provided via a Sakai site. If you are interested in gaining some teaching experience or volunteering, please contact Robin Diamond (rdiamond@sas.rutgers.edu) for more information.
Mindfulness meditation is the art of being a compassionate observer of our own experience. Meditation practice helps us to reduce stress & be more calm. All staff, faculty & students are welcome whether you have no previous experience or have been practicing for years. Mindfulness Meditation will take place Wed., May 22, 12:00-1:00 pm at the Rutgers Student Center.

Evening In The Gardens Join the Gardens Director on Thurs., May 23, from 6:008:30 pm, for a lively tour of Rutgers Gardens. They will discuss and highlight those plants that are currently in bloom, and provide some interesting insights into where and how to grow some of the more unusual plants that are found at Rutgers Gardens. The next webinar series will take place May 23rd at 1pm EST presented by Dr. Jason Laker. The webinar will focus on organizing time, tasks, and teams, and is welcome to all Student Affairs professionals, from graduate students to CSAOs. Registration fee is $98, and participants will receive an introduction to an easy-tounderstand framework for organization known as RAFT (Replay, Act, File, Trash) and the innovative benefits of applying this organizational method. Publication Announcement The Communiqué is proud share the news of Ruth Anne Koenick, Director of Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance, recent publication in the latest issue of the Journal and College Character.
