The first goal was for every student in Grade 1 to 6 to increase at least one benchmark level as measured by
Fountas and Pinnell – and this goal was achieved. The second goal was to have student participation in school clubs and school sponsored social events increase by 30 per cent, which they met. The third goal was for 80 per cent of students in Grade 3 to 12 to achieve a proficient score in narrative writing as measured by SPDU rubrics. They only improved by 40 per cent, but they are pleased with the progress and will continue working on this goal next year. Mrs. Christina Sayers got the school yearbooks back on track. After some research, each student chose a style of functional art to create. Some of these were cake decorating, birdhouse-making and decorating, quilting, rug-making, candle-making and pillowmaking. In their creations, students were required to incorporate the styles of three different artists.
